I honestly don't think the second part of this theory is correct. After all if Plagg and Tikki influenced Adrian's and Marientte's personality I don't think they would be able to show their hero aspects in their regular forms and there have been instances where Marinette has acted more like ladybug than Marinette in her civilian form and the same goes Adrian. For example the origins episode where Marinette started being more like ladybug and told Chole off for telling Marinette to move seats. The same thing happened in dark Blade where Marrinette was running for class president and took leadership in her normal form to try and get the class to safety, in this same episode Adrian runs down the stairs and makes a very Chat Noir like pun. So I think that the Kwami's are meant to represent the more dormant parts of Adrian's and Marinette's personalities and may even be part of the reason that they were chosen to wield the specific miraculous that they wield. I'm pretty sure somebody asked Thomas Astuc on twitter as to if the Kwami's had influence over the wielder and he only replied with something like, "You would act different if you were in a mask too" which is kind-of vague, but de-comfirmed it in my mind. As for the first part of the theory, it is right and was confirmed by Winny in a interview with Lindalee.(you can probably still find an analysis of that on youtube or maybe even the interview) Thanks for reading all of this I know it kind-of long and messy! Little Riddle what I was trying to say was their superhero counterparts are very different from them personality wise. Marinette is shy and socially awkward while Ladybug is confident and collected. Adrien is just trying to fit in and seem normal while Cat Noir is slick and mischievous. These traits are similar to their kwamiis so that’s what made me come up with that. Also you could kinda hear Tiki and Plagg’s tones of voice in Ladybug and Cat Noir.

The bell on Adrien's suit may represent the fact that he subconsciously sees himself as a domesticated pet, who is restricted by his owner (in this case, his father) Since only house cats wear bells, to scare off birds.

Another thing to support this theory is how the villains choose their costumes. They become what they think a supervillain looks like and the outfit also goes with each persons personality. Another thing that supports this is Volpina and Rene Rouge, when Lila becomes Volpina she becomes her idea of a superhero (yes she is a villain but she pretends to be a hero) but when Alya becomes Rene Rouge she has a different style of outfit even though they are both using the same miraculous (kind of)

I have my own theory on this First of all I totally agree with the fact the subconscious parts of Adrien and Mari are the parts that choose what the look like in superhero form Unfortunately I only agree half on the second part of this theory Although I do agree Plagg can cause certain changes to who Adrien is, I don't believe he can change him entirely. My theory is, Adrien in his civilian form, can be mischievous more often if he really didn't care about his father's hard ways. As Chat/Cat Noir on the other hand, he can be mischievous due to him having more freedom of expression because his father can't control him. As for Mari, Like Adrien, Mari can become more of a leader if she wasn't so scared of what others think in her civilian form, but as Ladybug being a leader is easier due to her top priority being protecting her home, Paris. The kwamiis can effect the user in small amounts though. As stated in your theory, Cat Noir becomes freezing although he was fine moments before. Plagg was practically freezing to death. When they combined Plagg's feelings of being cold, fused with Adrien's warmer body temperture, the colder winning, causing the sudden freezing body of Cat Noir. Tikki has also influenced Mari as Ladybug. Tikki was sick in the episode, Princess Fragrance, and while she was sick Mari couldn't transform. Assuming what Plagg said about Adrien transforming with the bracelet stuck to his head worked the same way with sickness, Tikki's weaker state could cause Ladybug herself, her powers, or both, to be weakened as well. That's just my opinions on this theory and my own ideas on how this theory can still work out and still help be cannon.

I Completely agree with this! I just commented something similar to this on this video (But i may have made the statement confusing) AS you can see it was raining when marinette detransformed,meaning the rain could of been the reason Tiki became sick with some sort of Flu much like Plagg's situation when he was locked in the freezer and became cold. Which if marinette transformed when tiki was still sick it could of made marinette her self sick much like Adrien becoming cold after transforming because Plagg was freezing. : )

Fusion Theory at the moment is a chicken and the egg situation with out more prof it's hard to tell if they always had those personality traits deep down and that part of the reason they where chosen or if they gain them threw transforming and any time they show those traits untransformed is residual. we just didn't see them long enough before their first transformation to tell. if there's any why to prove the theory it will likely come from the new hero's being introduced as we've known them longer.

In Desperada, You will see that Adrien transforms using the Snake miraculous. You will also see Luka transform with the Snake Miraculous too. When you compare the two, you will see that their costumes are different. They are similar, but they have differences.

When Marinette became a superhero, building on your theory that the heroes get to choose what they look like, she was more focused on the fact that she was becoming a superhero, rather than what she got to look like, and so the result was that she got a pretty generic costume. When Carapace, Queen Bee, Chat Noir, and Rena Rouge became heroes, they were clearly more focused on something else while their kwamis were explaining stuff to them, possibly what they would look like. This would also build on why Marinette’s costume doesn’t change or cover her hair, while everyone else’s costume has their hair covered or changed in some physical way. Building on the fusion theory, did you notice that in Despair Bear, after Plagg got Chloe’s bracelet stuck on his head, Adrien tried to transform, but Plagg said that it wasn’t possible to transform with the bracelet on without messing with the costume. This proves that Plagg would be sucked in during the transformation, and fused with Adrien. The bracelet would tamper with Adrien’s powers because it was touching Plagg. If the bracelet was not touching Plagg, Adrien would have been able to transform and get out of there scot-free. The first half of this theory was not entirely my theory, so please don’t hate on me.

When Plagg said “After All, the costume is what you wanted deep down.” I think he means Adrien wanted to be free. In the origin episode, Marinette wasn’t ready to be a superhero but Adrien was excited, excited to finally do something.

I had thought about this about half way to the first season and even if I haven't touched the thought since then I still have hold on to it. I'm pretty happy to hear that some other miraculous fans have hold on to it as well! Then again, as you said it must be at least somewhat obvious by now xD (I cannot wait for the Sandboy since that dialogue between Tiki and Plagg is honestly one of my favorite interactions right now!) But it was definitely great to hear some evidence put behind it! For example the Lady Wi-fi episode, I actually hadn't thought about the cold situation at all! Seems legit. I have a thought about the upcoming Style Queen episode and I'd like to share it. I think that Plagg is the primary reason why Chloe gets the bee miraculous. Outside of Plagg's interactions with Adrian Plagg isn't the most knowledgeable about the people in Adrian's life. He may know about the more general details, like how Adrian's dad isn't the most caring father out there or how Chloe has been Adrian's friend since they were toddlers, which would lead Plagg to assume which person Adrian would give a miraculous in a situation like the one seen in the "Style Queen" teaser. In this case, due to his assumptions, Plagg would steal the bee miraculous and give it to Chloe thinking that "Hey these two have been friends for a long time, Adrian is a really nice dude, so this Chloe person must be a nice enough person to receive a miraculous in order to help ladybug save a petrified Adrian." Something like that. Have any thoughts to add?

It's also confirmed that the costumes change with EVERY Miraculous holder in the episode of Sapotis. Because when Alya became Rena Rouge she said that she kinda looked like VOLPINA. Of course your thinking that "well volpina wasn't a miraculous holder" but HawkMoth doesn't think of the Costumes himself, the costume is what the Akumatized Victim wanted deep down inside. Do you guys remember the origins episode, where Stone Heart was there? Do you guys remember that when Marinette took off her Ladybug Earrings, Tikki Disappeared with them? Well, How come at 8:18 where Chat Noir’s Ring slipped off his finger, he just detransformed and Plagg showed up instead of staying inside of the ring? My Theory for this matter is; If a miraculous slips off or something, for example; Chat Noir’s Ring slipped off. The Kwami will just show up and not disappear because the owner had nothing to do with the miraculous being separated with it. So, what I’m saying is, if the owner willingly takes the miraculous off, the Kwami will disappear into it. But, if the owner accidentally takes it off or something, the Kwami will not disappear. Sorry for changing the subject..

First off, I loved the Video : ) 2. I'm not sure how to go about the second part of the theory but it does make sense, talking about that Another thing to add to that theory with about the fusion is that in Ep 8 S1 when adrien says he needs to transform, plagg tells him he can't because it will affect the transformation and overall outcome of how adrien will look, meaning that them being fused together to create chat noir is a high possibility of that being the case. (This next part has nothing to do with this but it came to mind) Also speaking of plagg, isn't it weird plagg didn't introduce Master fu sooner?, i get that they shouldn't meet with master fu unless needed or if its an emergency (Technically Confirmed in episode 10 of season 2 by wayzz) or if the users kwami think's that their not ready but plagg didn't mention it to Adrien at all,neither did Adrien or Marinette ask tiki and plagg about where they got the miraculous. Tiki didn't mention master fu to marinette straight off the bat but she did drop some hints and let her at least meet master fu when tiki was sick and when they found the book on the other hand when plagg saw the book he didn't mention it to adrien AT ALL. Unlike tiki who was all over the book and freaking out,plagg was unusually calm and over all ignored/avoided the whole conversation by asking for Camembert,even when he saw the peacock brooch he still didn't exactly react and tell adrien about master fu. This may sound weird and make no sense but think about it,what if there was a reason behind plagg not telling adrien sooner or at all in a manner of speaking? He even FLAT OUT REFUSED adrien offering him cheese just to find out was marinette was hiding,Which was in fact about Master fu ( confirmed in Episode 14 of season 2). Not just that whats the whole reason about Master fu not thinking adrien isn't ready to find out yet? I completely agree with one of adrien's previous statements about him hating being left out in the dark and not able to know the few secrets that marinette keeps hidden despite her having feelings of regret and guilt but in result of that in S2 Ep14 after being confronted by Adrien (in chat noir form) Caused her to feel more guilt which made her have self-doubt about her secrets (Guessing that how she feels),Marinette then decided to confront master fu about it, Was it there and only then did he consider actually revealing himself to Adrien(As far as we know). I get that master fu might have a good reason for not meeting him until later but it still brings up the question why is he not ready to know? As you hear him say to marinette in that exact same episode " Do you put the water in before the noodles?" (Something close to that) and you hear marinette say "No", the point i'm trying to get at here is since master fu's been a guardian for a very long time maybe he knows something that no else knows,like maybe the Chat noir's before Adrien might have said or done something wrong to cause Master fu to delay the meeting with the kwami of destruction and the user or Master fu might know something about Hawkmoth being Gabriel Agreste, since in Ep1 S2 he still was unsure about Gabriel not being Hawkmoth. I mean i could be Over Analyzing things,Maybe our intelligent plagg just really didn't think or feel like telling adrien about master fu and master fu just generally thought he wasn't ready but it does make you question.

Oof I’m late but this is my theory. Tiki and plagg really fit with what Marinette and Adrian needs as a counselor. Whenever Marinette is conflicted/troubled tiki is calming yet firm. She gives Marinette insightful opinions she lets Marinette learn from her mistakes. But, plagg on the other hand is blunt towards Adrian. He’s like that because Adrian’s life has been filled with dishonest people so hearing plagg shoot off his mouth is like a breath of fresh air to him. The only question in my mind is if quamis personalities change depending on the miraculous holder? Sure they still may have some things that won’t change like tikis calmness and plaggs love for camibere (sorry if I misspelled that) but is tiki more firm and plagg less blunt depending on the holder?

Did anyone notice for the freezing part, that Adrein was starting to get really really cold, he is holding his arms like people do when they are cold, but the rest makes sense. Even tiki influences Marinette a little. In hero form she is more confident, and less clumsy. Pluss if the Kami's merge they already seem to know what has happened with the people without anyone telling them, so maybe they could see through the eyes of the mask as well. And their other senses too, like hearing and reflexes. In the episode where the zoo keeper get acumitized, there's a moment when we get to see Adrein's cat ear twich. Also when the two are in civilian form, they seem to be a little more clumsy and don't notice what's going on as much, that could just 'cause they know if they don't pay attention something bad could happen but they relax when they're not wearing their costumes, I don't know, just a thought.

I have finally a theory . The main question about my theory is : how does plagg sees the costume on chat noir when he is sucked by the ring ? It is mostly connected to your theory , so in the beginning , when you put the vid were plagg says :" i have always found that little bell so ridiculous " how come plagg can see how adrien lookes as chat noir when he is sucked in the ring ; cause i thought it was the first time he saw the costume without him being in the ring....AlTHouGh ..... your theory sais that they get combined into one person SO....could IT BE THAT PLAGG SEES THE COSTUME WHEN ADRIEN AKA CHAT NOIR TRANSFORMES BY USING HIS EYES !!!!!!!!!!! Honestly, I think it’s the other way around. My theory is that the whoever wears the miraculous influences how the kwamis behave, though not entirely. If I remember correctly Kwamis were explained to be some kind of manifestation of collective human desire. If this is true then it might be that mean that the way a kwami behaves could be influenced by them “picking up” on the wearer’s truest self or the self they desire to be. If that’s the case then the kwamis’ only real influence on their wearer is that they amplify what the wearer wants to portray. Plagg’s line about this being what Adrian wanted deep down might have been about more than the costume. If you think about kwamis don’t manifest outside the box until their miraculous is actually put on by someone. I hope this all made sense. Anyway it’s been quite a while since I’ve watched the show and I don’t know if there’s any evidence that disproves this. But even if there is, I like this theory and I think it would be something interesting to explore.

I had the same fusion idea once upon a time, and I still love it. It's possible that it's less of a personality fusion and more that Plagg contributes general cat-like qualities to Chat Noir, though. Like the night vision we've seen, the claws, the climbing buildings. Cats also have an average body temperature 2-3 degrees higher than humans, so maybe that's why Adrien seemed like he suffered more from the cold as Chat Noir.

I have a theory. In the episode Gamer there is a scene where Adrian tackles Marinette to the ground just like how Chat Noir tacks Ladybug in various episodes. When he opens his eyes and looks down at He he gets a kinda of surprised look on his face. I think that is bc the idea of Marinette being Ladybug pops into his head. Think, they’re faces are inches apart and all he can see is her eyes. Even though Ladybugs eyes are different from Marinettes they are still extremely close in color. I really didn’t do a good job explaining that one but I have another theory. In The Collector when Gabriel finds out his book is missing he tells Natalie to put a separate sketch/design book where it “belongs”. Later on in that episode you see that same note book in the room where Gabriel becomes Hawkmoth. My theory is that Natalie knows that Gabriel is Hawkmoth but doesn’t say anything because she is either in love with him or overly loyal...I think it’s more the she’s in love with him. Anyway there’s more proof to support my theory. At the end of the episode Natalie actually SEES Gabriel go down into his lair. That’s all. Good day.

I think the transformation sequences in the origin episodes reflect this. Marinette was completely flubbing it, panicking as it happens, and her costume is more simplistic to reflect Marinette's lack of preparation for being a superhero. Adrien, on the other hand, is more than ready. He has the cool moves down and a more intricate costume, as if all the time alone let him create his feline persona. Adrien's also a huge anime nerd, confirmed by Astruc himself, and was probably majorly influenced by magical girl anime, especially Tokyo Mew Mew. And on the subject of fusions, I was screaming for you to mention the Princess Fragrance episode, where Ladybug is caught out in the rain at the beginning of the episode and Tikki catches a cold because of it, but Marinette doesn't. Sorry for the long comment, but there's hardly any ML theorists out there so it excites me when I do see one.

I really like the first part of the theory (not that the second part was bad) and I agree with it. It makes sense. Adrien is realising he can be a cat superhero, so imagines what a cat superhero would look like. He's excited and confident, because he is dreaming of escaping, and is imagining what he would look like ('What can I say? It's the model in me' -Adrien Agreste) so his costume is a lot more detailed. Marinette though, is scared and isn't thinking straight. She is imagining the actual hero aspect so isn't imaging her appearance. Therefore her costume is a lot more simple. Thank you for making this video.

7:30 to add to this, when the reverser changed their personallity, ladybug became SUPER clumsy, but isnt marinette clumsy? But tikki isnt, so mabye tikki's personallity changed then. About chat, plagg is usually calm when theres danger and says to adrian "relax, everything's fine, let me eat my cheese" or things like that, so the raverser made him paranoid.

The theory at 7:42 does make sense as in the coming episode 'Sandboy' we'll find out that perhaps Tikki and Plagg share a relationship similar to Ladybug and Chat Noir. In the episode Plagg calls Tikki "Sugar Cube" which Tikki responds to with "Stinky Sock" (I know, they're adorable :3) This banter mirrors exactly how Ladybug and Chat Noir are around each other. I'm not saying that Plagg is the reason why Chat Noir//Adrien is in love with Ladybug (It was clearly mentioned in the Origins episode that he was in love with the girl behind that mask), but perhaps he influences it, for example the name calling. Also, if you compare the way Adrien and Chat Noir act around Ladybug, this theory will make a lot more sense; in the episode 'Riposte' Adrien doesn't try to impress Ladybug (Although he unknowingly does it) with jokes like Cat Noir. Perhaps this is because he doesn't want to reveal his identity but you know, my theory could be correct.

And you think when that happens that maybe adrien and Marinette would finally be togerher as a couple/ and/ or know each other's identities. I like the theory, I really do, but when seeing the clip of Adrien in Frightening gale, I remembered in one specific clip that Alya takes a picture of, you see that not only is Marinette looking away and smiling with her hand on her cheek, but Adrien is too. It makes me curious, and it's very obvious, but does Adrien have two crushes...? I mean it's OBVIOUS that he likes Ladybug, but do you think that he also likes Marinette? I mean there is so much evidence to back this up. Adrien in Chat Noir form kisses her hand, bows, flexes and tries to impress her in Illustrator. Adrien checks up on Marinette after she gets her feelings hurt by Kagami and is told that Kagami doesn't hesitate and that Marinette does in Frozer, and another thing that makes sense is when in Mayura when Marinette kisses Adrien on the cheek (Fangirled all the way on that) he smiled happily. But one thing stuck out in only one of those pieces of Evidence, Plagg's sentence in Frozer. He told Adrien that he was ditching Kagami for Marinette, Adrien's response to plagg's sentence also had hesitance in it, not to mention Adrien also looked jealous when Luka helped Marinette up and out to the rink. But could what plagg said to be somewhat true? Could Adrien perhaps have a crush on Marinette AND Ladybug?????

To add to the first theory adrien, carapace, Rena and queen bee had more time to think about what they wanted their suits to look like and had probably put more thought into what they would look like as a super hero, Adrien probably fantasised about it being away for him to escape his house and the others had seen ladybug and chat noir and probably thought “wow imagine if I was a super hero” leading to why lady bugs costume is so much more obvious then chats or the others, Mari didn’t think she could ever be a super hero and had no faith in herself so she probably had never thought about what she would want her suit to look like which is why her suit is so basic and pretty much exactly what you think when you think super hero (mask and skin tight suit) because she hadn’t imagined her own personal suit the miraculous just went for her basic idea of a super hero suit (this is super long but I thought it was worth adding) 💭

So like... their costumes basically represent who they are or show what they think of themselves so I think Marinette sees herself as an ordinary girl (which she says everytime in the intro) because her costume looks "ordinary" compared to the other superhero costumes (idk it just came into my mind) I also realized that their superpowers are also related to the animal their kwamis represent. Ladybugs are a sign of luck, thus Ladybug's LUCKY CHARM Cats, or more specifically black cats, represent bad luck since black cats are often believed to ruin anything that comes their way resulting in Chat Noir's CATACLYSM (which also means "something that causes great destruction") Foxes are usually animals that aren't trusted and are also called "deceiving" because sometimes everything they show aren't what they seem to be at first sight (ehem, LIE-LA). That's why Rena Rouge's power is the power of illusion or what she calls MIRAGE Carapace's superpower is SHELTER which basically represents a turtle's shell that serves as its protection from predators and as their home as well. Carapace is also another term for a turtle's shell. Queen Bee's superpower is VENOM which is very obvious because bees are well known to have venomous stings (yeah, that's it) Viperion's superpower is SECOND CHANCE since snakes are a symbol of transformation, rebirth, etc. which basically is like a second chance in life(?) idk A rabbit's burrow/hole is used for transportation. The phrase "rabbit hole" or "falling down the rabbit hole" is a metaphor for something that transports someone into a wonderfully or troublingly surreal state or situation. Thus, Bunnix's superpower: BURROW. King Monkey's superpower: UPROAR is a situation in which people are upset, angry, or disturbed by something. The Monkey King a.k.a SUN WUKONG is a trickster god. This probably explains Kim's superhero name and his ability to ruin or disturb other's powers. Dragons are known to have supernatural powers and are often depicted as SEA SERPENTS and rarely in AIR (in Japanese culture. And dragons are also believed to breathe FIRE That PROBABLY explains Ryuko's superpower: the WATER, FIRE AND WIND DRAGON (idk if there's a fire dragon power. Correct me if I'm wrong) LASTLYYYYYYY... The Pegasus has the ability to fly unlike horses. And they also have supernatural superpowers. They can travel through the mortal and immortal realm, which somehow relates to Pegasus' superpower: VOYAGE. DISCLAIMER: I don't own ALL the information about the kwamis (animals') symbolizations. I mostly looked them up on the internet so... Yeah. Credits to the rightful owners =)))

Ok I have a theory like if you agree in the style clip not trailer but clip we see plagg say this is not good when Adrain is turned to gold so I think plagg either goes to master fou or goes directly to marrinete (or he might just hide some but thats boring) and if he goes to marrinete she is going to completely flip but ladybug might already transformed so her find but she still flip.
