That's an example of someone needing a thousand chances and at some point it *finally* stuck, and it does indeed show the consequence of coming back after that many, it SHOULD be a borderline impossible task that would break the weak-willed. So yes, it's possible in my opinion for someone to have that...if they realize how exponentially harder each chance becomes. However, I'm not saying everyone has to do this, it's just my take. And Filip in this case...at some point you just gotta give up and accept there's no realistic way he's coming back from this if he doubles down for this long.

And maybe I'm projecting a bit, but I also feel like part of the issue is because some people are a bit too wrapped up in the idea that "no one is perfect" and forgiveness is key. While it is certainly true that no one is perfect and forgiveness is important, it should be within reason. Yeah it's a good trait to be able to forgive people, but one should also learn to be assertive. Don't be mean about it, but don't allow people to make a fool out of you. And it's one thing to excuse someone's behavior as "no one is perfect" when making a mistake or when giving your all in something and falling short. But one doesn't have that excuse if they frequently made the same disrespectful decision (which after a while he must have known what he was doing) AND also trying to act like they're taking the moral high ground

What this tells me is that he has never learned about forgiveness and the fact that he has little to no control here. Forgiveness is not something you are owed when you repent, it is something that is offered to you, which is what should make one ever more thankful when they are forgiven. That may be how it works for those who are naive, but not your average person. Some may never forgive, but it is not the place of the guilty to judge. If he plans on staying in this kind of business, he should focus on the fanbase he has instead of the hatred he has earned for himself. This is the kind of thing that will take 5-10 years of repeatedly turning the other cheek and doing his best to demonstrate that he's moved on from the incident he caused, and the bitterness he clearly still holds over it, before things start to clear up. He still has a long way to go before he's learned his lesson by the looks of things. Hopefully he gets there in the end.

Excellent point about how forgiveness works. Point would stand without the 'religious and naive' strawman. I'm not religious, haven't been for decades. Drawing up some monolithic caricature of religious people, and then claiming they aren't 'your average person' is an angle that adds nothing to your points and undermines your credibility with those that understand that: a) many average people are religious. b) many religious people know that forgiveness is not a right. Sometimes less is more. In this case your irrelevant swipe at the 'not average and naive' religious people is something floating in a punch bowl. Y’know, there’s an incredibly simple solution to this if he really wants to keep uploading and editing videos on KZbin. START OVER. Make a new channel with no ties to your older one, don’t appear on camera, and mask your voice (or better yet, have someone else read from your script) when doing voice-over. Two years and a genuine apology (and losing his job and friends etc) isn't enough, apparently. Funnily enough, the narrative before the genuine apology (including by yong) was that an apology will go far to set things straight, but in reality it just gave people more ammunition and didn't help in the slightest. There is actually science on this, that apologies generally don't help but just stimulates bloodthirst and invites more criticism. The lesson seems to be to never apologise, because it will only make things worse for you. Of course, people want to get that extra ammunition, so they will push hard for an apology, dishonestly saying it will help and so on, but in reality it only hurts.

@@xyhmo Saying his apology was genuine is a bit of a stretch, because who on KZbin EVER makes a genuine apology besides the actually good youtubers?(for example Markiplier.)

@@xyhmo Dude, I'm aware of the internet behaviour and how people hold a grudge in unnecessary says, but this guy didn't apologize properly for a long time, so he did try your no apologizing route and after all said and done it sounded just as fake as anything else, specially after lying several times. He made that laughable video about him turning page in which he didn't even adress what he did and after a year ( I think?) Then he tried apologizing properly. By that time, after all the commotion and after making that hilarious video that showed his quality as a human who the hell was gonna believe him except for guys like you? Also, this guy pretty much based his career on copying other reviews and did way more damage than he even recognized. It seems you don't notice, but it's clear that he thought that he could stomp little channels and that he really wouldn't have recognized anything until he had no other choice since the dumbass challenged the internet to find proof of more plagiarized reviews, which of course they did. If you see the whole timeline and his actions, you should notice that he had more than a second opportunity and for a long, loooong period of time. If you wanna defend this trash while there are actual people that are attacked unfairly that's your choice, but don't try to guilt trip others when almost nobody will feel it for this guy because he got what he deserved.

He's at a point where he feels like everyone is against him even though he is getting the much needed tough love he needs he will sees it as an attack. I don't know if I feel sorry for him or not
