For example, there is a strain of poliovirus that we've modified so that it selectively infects malignant glioma (a type of brain cancer that is *very* hard to treat) cells. There's also herpes simplex, vaccinia (a relative to the virus that caused smallpox, and was essential to its eradication), measles, and a number of less well-known viruses being worked on for oncolytic potential... Obviously, most are still in clinical trials at one stage or another, but the fact is they're already being made and tested.
