I wish my bandsaw cut as straight as yours seems to cut!

Have you set it up properly? This one cut so bad when I got it I was actually worried I had bought a real POS but with a new blade and some adjustments it's pretty spot on now. The two biggest things are tracking and tension but in my case the blade was bad too so it would cut to the left no matter how I set it up. Once you get the blade adjustments right you'll need to adjust the fence to be parallel to how the blade actually cuts vs just lining it up square to the table. This guy does a great job of explaining it all kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJ_QZ3alnsaIaqcsi=qEtZ--O-TicskytZ

@@EvolutionWoodworksit’s the stock blade on the rikon 10 inch bandsaw. I tried to resaw cherry this week and it failed miserably. Some of it is I’m learning as I go, but it’s a slow process. I’ll take a look at the vid you suggested.

@therevngraham You'll want to pick up a resaw blade if you're trying that. They have fewer teeth and larger gullets to help clear the sawdust. I've been using Timber Wolf blades, but I'm not sure if they make them for smaller saws. I'm sure someone makes one for it.

and the thing I noticed was your sacrificial push block. Probably had a hook on the back. Good idea so you're not fidgeting around with spacing.

At the table saw? Yeah, I just took an old set of rubber bottomed push blocks that had gotten hard and glued a chunk of 2x4 to them with a little hook at the back end to push. When the hook gets cut up too much I'll glue another one on. I have had my eye on the Micro Jig version but I probably wouldn't use it for everyday use. There are some cool features on theirs for when you're cutting awkward shapes but I'm sure I would have plastic flying if I used it for everything.

Could the strips in the long direction have been added in at the first glue up?
@EvolutionWoodworksАй бұрын
@teamvtube Yes. That's my future plan. I had planned on a lot more stripes, so it made sense to cut it up later. Always 10 ways to do something.

You sell these products relatively cheap. I guess the market is saturated.

I'm still working things out in that area. I just went by what I saw others selling plans for to get started and haven't really tested the market. I honestly didn't think the plans would sell as well as they have. Might be time for a bump. The boards aren't really selling much at all. I think that market is too full of $80 Etsy listings to get anywhere without a bigger name and following. It's all a process Thanks for watching and for the order!
