there are some scentences that i dont understand here. its a very tricky song imo (to understand the lyrics). some of them are ''as we all fall in line... - ...chasing shadows that lead our way'' ''the frail the bruised, who start anew'' ''you play the fool, the painful truth'' idk... no matter what i do i cant seem to get my head wrapped around these... anyone that can help me here please?

Alcatraz Aronsson I have a hard time too.. But i think it signifies being lost and doing things that you know deep down isn't what you really want. But you just do them.(-Chasing shadows that lead our way-) sometimes doing those things can really wear you down and it takes that to get you where you belong (the frail the bruised, who start anew). So you know you the play the fool, that was the painful truth. Not exactly sure I just found this song. So im trying to understand the lyrics too. Just ones opinion to another.

You know what. I love the melody of this song. And I love the singers voice - it has a good epic feel about it. But the lyrics to the song are just meaningless. Please don't get me wrong - this is a great song.

Mark Bowman the song talks about a relationship that ended and doesn't matter what they (the couple) do, their relationship ended and they shouldn't cry or end their lifes because everything one day comes to an end. If you want I can try to make a "closer look" interpretation but it's basicly that the meaning of the song. In something you are right, the meaning of this song is not explict and you need to analize it a bit to understand it (it's just like the David Firth cartoons).
