This way by far my favorite video of yours. I love the talk through and figuring out how to actually use the planner while still being decorative! Sometimes I feel like I can only be functional or decorative, but mixing the two styles is hard for me. This video (and hopefully future videos like this) are so inspiring!! I have just recently started using the Happy Planner system. I needed a way to be more organized and if I’m going to do it I wanted to be creative with it, Happy Planner seemed like the perfect fit. I have struggled though UNTIL I watched this video and you turned on the light bulb in my brain. It all clicked and it was your system that has made all the difference! Thank you for posting this!!!

I love the longer videos! I can break them up and come back to them later, or I can have a nice relaxing break with a long video on. This was really helpful, because I do plan in a similar way to you, but seeing you plan has given me ideas! I always have decorated all at once and have never really gone back and added more stickers to fill in white space, which is genius! Thanks Mary Ellen!

I know you must be sick of hearing this but... I am mesmerized by your handwriting! And I loved this type of video!!! I plan the same way so this is perfect! I have physical stuff going on and family stuff that pops up so my plans change drastically at the drop of a hat! Planning one or two days out is the only way I can do it.

This video was great! I like this type of atp!! I always try and fill it all in on Monday morning but usually I end up with a bunch of empty spots and boxes. I started filling by the day a couple of weeks ago in the morning and evening. I agree that looking back on the week and seeing it all filled is gratifying.

Im also very much of a perfectionist and I've learned it is really affecting my peace, and taking up a LOT of my time! So my goal this coming year is to work on not stressing over things like that. I found this journal where you pretty much "color outside the lines" there are guided tasks Like on one page it tells you to rip the page and then use it (as a to-do list or something), or to purposely spill something on the page, etc. So im going to do my own version of that and to work on forcing myself to use things that arent "perfect." Like it even bugs me if when I get a paper towel, it doesnt rip perfectly- like C'MON!!!

I love this video, Mary Ellen. I typically create my spread and fill it in for the weeks tasks on Sunday, and sometimes because of work, I never check back in with it. I like the idea of coming back to it daily to fill in the tasks for the next day and adding little decorative elements as you go along. I also like to make little notes and refer back (must be our age), so I get that! I may incorporate your idea of the master task list on the side bar, I don’t seem to use that space very often. Great ideas, I always look so forward to your vids, thanks for sharing! 💕

I just started with the happy planner this year so I've been watching A LOT of YT videos on the subject. I enjoy yours the most because the layouts are very nice but also very functional. I am task-oriented and my planner is mostly functional. This video is great! I love watching your process throughout the week, very helpful. I can only say that it helps me not feel alone in this thing called life. The grind that we go through. The reason we do things. These types of videos are soothing for me and help me calm that voice that says "Oh you didn't get things done today? Where did your time actually go?" I'm a new subscriber & this is also my talk thru video. I actually enjoy it. It makes my own planner process seem normal & now I know I'm not the only one who is precise, corrective, yet open to trying a new way to customize. My planner endeavor is to flow & grow. As a side note-- you should have personal space & safe haven (usually home). You already have YT, IG & Public FB pages.. having 1 page to yourself is little to ask/ need. By that estimation, 75% of your life is public!! Very public-- to 10k+ people!! That leaves 25% to you.. Enjoy it!!

I know exactly how you feel. I lost my aunt just a week after I found out I was pregnant. I cried everyday and still can’t get over loosing her everyday. I guess we have to be strong and continue with our lives. Because we still have people who love us and who we love too. PetSmart and Petco.

I love your style. I also love that you are more of my “age” and so not everything is about the kids school or games, etc. Don’t get me wrong - when my child was that age, I’d have put it in my planner too. But I’m in my late 50s and the things to document in my planner are just different. And grief doesn’t end, it just changes🤗

I am so glad you are able to have some good days. It's so hard. Of course your still grieving. However, you deserve good days, and that is what your husband would want for you. It is what everyone wants for you. It is just so, so hard. Do you see a counselor? It's not really my business, sorry. I just want you to be supported and have even more good days. Also, I love when you do your after the pen videos this way. I like how you come back everyday and show us what you did, and write more.

Angie Payne thanks Angie. I don’t see a counselor because I don’t think it would help. I did see someone from hospice a few times after Daniel died but honestly it just seemed to make things worse. Thanks for your kind words

I really like this type of video, seeing how you keep updated throughout the week and actually use your planner! I just implemented a work planner, because I am an office manager and have a ton to keep track of. I would love to be able to do what you do, film plan with me’s. I did create an IG and a KZbin channel for it, because one of the other planner gals Kell of A Plan suggested it and to just do it... just need the courage to get started... I absolutely love watching your videos. My condolences to you, I didn’t lose my spouse, but my 22 year old son passed away in April. It’s almost been a year and I’m just coming out of my “hole”, slowly but surely.
