Hello from Fairview Heights IL. I am thinking about making me diy planner for next year.

I paused the video to make a suggestion about switching planners: for future composition book planners, you can take them to Staples or other office supply store and have them cut them down to A5, or whatever size you need. I had one cut down to 9”x6 1/2”, rounded the corners myself with a corner rounder punch, and covered with clear contact paper. Very portable. FYI I tried to buy these specific notebooks yesterday at the cheap 50 cent back-to school price at 2 different local Targets that listed them as “in stock”, only to learn they were sold out. They’re very popular. And they were listed as “in store” only, so not available for purchase on their website OR for pickup. 😡 They’re still available on Amazon at $2.99 each though.

@@calisongbird nice! I haven’t looked for them on Amazon to be honest since I get them at Target! I have cut them down before, but I like the space of the larger size.

@@Gillyweedsfunright, I only mentioned it because you said you were tempted by your more portable Exceed planner, but hesitant to make a mistake in it because it’s more expensive. Cutting the comp book would give you the best of both worlds. 🙂 But I get that the larger size is good for more writing space.

@@calisongbird I have used a cut down comp book for my travel journal. That works well for me! But for a daily situation, I prefer the bound notebook for that size.

Luckily you only lost your power. Love your layout. What Grid Composition Notebook are you using? Thanks!

@@IvyPlans Thank you! My notebook is a Unison Brand composition book I get from Target every year. I don’t think they sell online, and I have only ever seen them during the back to school season. I stock up and usually buy 4 or 5 then because they are only fifty cents!
