Im eleven now, i started middle school in august. so A couple years ago my sister must have like emailed me this link to a march bujo setup on seventeens youtube channel, and i have to admit I tried bullet journaling then but. was horrible at it. In 2019 i got this planner from the happy planner for christmas, but it was just dot grid paper and i turned it into a bullet journal. I used a bunch of mr sketch markers i had also gotten for christmas. In january i NEVER kept up with my spreads, so for like 2-3 months i just did a monthly calendar and nothing else, and that worked, but in april and may i did like multiple spreads again and i didn’t keep up with it. In august i came back to bullet journaling, and did a bunch of like back to school stuff, but STILL i didn’t keep up with it. It was about this time or right before when I discovered your channel, and that was august. Then in november i came back to my old happy planner and i tried again, but STILL didn’t keep up with it, and then i moved into just a normal notebook, like one you use for school, and did a zodiac sign theme, and with that i didn’t even keep up with it even though i was super hyped about the theme. In december i continued in that notebook, but only kept up with like the weekly stuff. Wait scratch that i BARELY kept up with the weekly stuff. For christmas i still wanted to bullet journal, so for christmas i asked for(and got) some brush pens from amazon(called Aen Art) and a 50 pack of super tips, and a Exceed journal with a dot grid. I’ve made a goal to try and keep up with my journal in 2020, because i love journaling, and i think all my new stuff and my new motivation will help me achieve that goal. You have been a great role model and i love your videos! Also i just wanted to share my story. Thank you for making these videos every month and bye!

Boo Boo 29 Maybe start with daily/weekly „To do” lists and monthly overview, and then, each month, step by step try incorporating doodles and more elements to your spread. Do not put much pressure on yourself, but be consistent taking actions towards achieving your goal. Good luck!

For everyone who can't do the artsy bullet journal spreads because they fear that they'll make a mistake, this video shows exactly why you shouldn't! Amanda made an error in her cover page and she fixed it, and even at 7:46, her lines became wavy while doing the listed monthly calendar. Yet, she didn't go back to it to make it look perfect because that's how it is supposed to be. Your bullet journal is yours and you can make mistakes and it can be imperfect. Just a little something for people who are scared to use this wonderful system. PS. Amanda, I got all my friends hooked onto your videos and now you've become our ultimate bullet journaling queen

Itz Stef It might be a long time before she makes it so here’s my explanation: 1) Count the number of grid spaces up and down the page and number them up and down 2) You decide whether you’ll include the outside grids. 3) Calculate number of grid spaces which would be half, a third, a quarter etc. of the total number. 4) You also decide whether you’ll leave spaces in between the halves, the thirds etc. (you might need to get equal number of grids). 5) Just draw lines to match up the grids to the numbers. Use different colours for different sections. Use hers or others on Pinterest as a visual guide. 6) Then whenever you need to make a certain number of sections you look at the coloured lines and match them to the numbers on the side.

Rolling dailies is something that worked wonders for me in 2019. It does give you the freedom to do whatever you want with the space that you may need that day. I also started doing the calendar with the list monthly, but I found that I didn’t have much space for when I had more than 2 things the same day. I ended up switching it up and I did the one page calendar and the dividen the other page in 4 or 5 rows for each week of the month and I would just write down what I have on that specific week with the date that event or task is taking place. For example, if I had an appointment on January 2nd I would write in week one “2 • appointment”. That way it was easier to transfer things to my weekly overview and I had more space to write things down. It’s just a little idea if the list monthly is not working ☺️ HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🎊

For the monthly overview, I like to put the list of numbers down the middle with one column for work and one column for social activities and hobbies. I find it gives me more space as well as the ability to compartmentalise different events in my life. I've even occasionally used three columns if I had a specific project I was working on that needed it's own space that month. It works wonders for me, might be worth a try in February
