When you move in with someone, it seems that you automatically go out less. I think it's because going out is another excuse/vehicle/way to see each other and spend time together in varied settings and create experiences together, etc. When you live together, you're already spending more time together, it's less eventful over the long run, and down time kind of gets threaded in as you get more comfortable living with each other, yet finding and keeping your own space.

Regarding saving more - I’m going to assume James is going to be contributing to utilities & likely also “rent” to put towards your mortgage - so those things will cost you less. Also, once you guys live together you’ll likely go out a bit less. Happy New Year! Sounds like it’s going to be amazing for you.
