Lucky you, we are already in the fifth week of school here in Georgia.

I just wanted to share that I used the Can Man in one of my library lessons with 4th grade last year. This is definitely one that will be added every year. We had some amazing discussion. It also helped me to see the different perspectives of my students. It was truly one of those days, that I learned, too (which are the best days). I first heard about it in your video. Thanks for the great recommendation! Any other favorite books, please share. I want to share meaningful books with my students as they only come to library 1 in a 6-day cycle. Thanks!

Good luck next week! We just survived the first week and so grateful for this long weekend. Despite all I did this summer to get ready the To Do List is never ending. I really wish the first week of school would start in the middle of the week vs a Monday. My whole body is getting back into the long days. I will definitely be trading the sandals for a pair of tennis shoes a few days a week. I look forward to seeing your new videos. No pressure to stick to a schedule. We are excited to see whatever you have time to post. Once again good luck on Tuesday!

I have never thought or seen a classroom with the students' pictures on the wall. I think that it is a genius idea for the students to feel welcomed in the class.

I know. I haven’t either. What a great idea for building community and giving ownership. I use my hall to display projects, but I try to honor each grade throughout the year (librarian here).

Self-contained special education classes do. I've learned that it's actually easier to take photos of individual students vs. getting everyone settled at the same time for group photos 😮

hi just a question… what’s the name of the font you have on the cover page of the back to school packet?
