Lots of great memories here... I worked for Sun Country, America West, ATA and we did Champion charters in MKE... all gone now!

I worked the ramp in STL for Airport Terminal Services, and we handled Champion and Sun Country and any other random charter that came into town. Lots of fun those days.

@@cornbread83 STL is another hub airport that went to shit after all of these mergers! MKE, CLE, IND, CVG,CMH and PIT are all a joke now... a fraction of the flights they used to have when they were hubs.

Wow! Champion Air ! They had a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers before they folded. We would get the unopened drinks from their flights back to Los Angeles

So many Mad Dogs and 727’s. I wasn’t around to experience the 727 but I did fly on one of the last few of Americans MD-80’s back in 2019 before they were retired. I was only 12 at the time but i remember it clear as day. It was a great flight experience apart from it being very loud.
