You guys must have been to Brussels during a runway maintenance time since the cargo's normally all land on 25R (considering westerly winds)? :)

Reverse thrust is deployed manually by the pilot's. Only the speed brakes can be set to deploy automatically after the wheels touching the ground. :)

They must have greased runways in Brussels! Never saw so many perfect spot- on landings. Great videos guys.
@Tomskii512 жыл бұрын
It could be that they flare lightly already but due to heat haze the plane gets pushed back upwards or it just could be the pilot flaring too soon or at a too high speed.

Hehehe, am a regular spotter at BRU (takes me about a 15 min drive from my place) but I guess I did not go spotting on the days you guys have been there (or you weren't standing out of the crowd haha) Jep, probably the repair and refurbishment works on the 25R when you guys were there. Thanks for the headsup! :D

I like your videos but why is it so hard to shoot in 1080p. Everybody and even just regular old plane spotters use 1080p why can't you? You must have the resources for it?

How can there be 130 airlines when only about 80 including regional affiliates operate at the airport?

A few of those plans seemed to jerk upwards on very short final (especially with the Asiana Cargo 747). Is there like a geological reason for that or is it just the pilot?
@Airplanefooood6 ай бұрын
Purely pilot input. In the case of the Asiana: he flared a bit to hard (and to high by the looks of it). PS: better late then never I guess, since you asked this question 11 years ago ;-)

I have just noticed, for the first time, that the reverse thrusters are employed as soon as the mains are grounded. Is this manually done, or is it a computer function? (My thought is the pilot does it.) Scares me to think if there is a computer glitch bad things would happen.

Hello Just Planes, that Brussels Airlines video you download (269 minutes) on your web site, how big is the file MB wise & any idea how long it takes to download...? Thanks

beautiful recorded! So smooth! If people are asking why there were lots of Jet Airways its because they got a hub there! A little stop and then on to America and Canada :)

Well I can say that most heavies always land very smoothly at BRU (Pilots giving good service to their pax haha) when you look at medium/short haul planes than the landings are smooth as well but less smooth. :) Like usually I guess :D
