Not sure if there's a landing curfew, but lots of FEDEx's Come in after 11:30! Flightaware shows MD-11 at 11:45pm from MEM: A300 @ 11:59 from ONT, MD-10 @ 11:59 from PHX, and 757 from ONT at 11:59. My BFF calls them "Violators". The MD-10 took back off at 1:45am. He says they pay a fine, and probably dont't care.

I don't believe there's a fine to land. The fine is for departure. Not sure how it's enforced. I lived on a boat near the airport. I saw flights depart at all hours. In one of my 630am videos a Southwest taxied up at 620am. He said were ready to go. The tower said are you ready to pay the fine. Plus we have North Island nearby. Plenty of noise there at any hour it's needed. The sounds of freedom

Great video, I was at the viewing area taking photos across the Coast Guard on N Harbor, this view looks like the spot from the parking structure on Laurel. Are they allow plane spotters back?

I head over Aug 15th. With points I have business class on JAL 787 from San Diego. I might switch to the JAL 777 out of LAX. Nicer business seat. The Singapore A350 was available in biz, but its way more points

I use a splitter going into the camera. One for a boom mic on the camera. The other is a lav mic going to a Icom handheld aircraft radio

ATC is on my handheld aircraft radio. I tune in the tower freq and record it with the camera mic

The terminal can't support loading the A380. We get the occasional 747 cargo. Often times carrying race horses. British Airways used to use the 747 in San Diego.

@@moviewatcher1239 Yes, it needs special ramps to load all those doors at once. 100 miles away they use the A380 at LAX.
