I'm doing a complete tear-down and rebuild on a DW733 Type 1. I find that if I tighten the roller brackets screws to be set; i.e., hand tight, one roller is very difficult to turn and the other will not turn at all. This, of course, before I put back the gear-chain assembly. I tried it out anyway and it resulted in quickly melting the synthetic belt. I did put the bushings (like new) in with the wide side parallel to the plane bed and lubed everything with a good grease. Thoughts on lubrication? Thoughts on the rollers binding?

I ordered my outfeed roller from eRplacementparts, but the keyway is not wide enough to allow the sprocket to slide on. Is this a common issue?

Replacing rollers on planer end bearings won't fit new rollers what to do next

Just replaced both in feed and out feed rollers. screws holding bushings on chain gear side were too tight and i striped one. screws on other side came out ok, and I was able to slide the old rollers out and new ones in without unscrewing the screws on the chain-gear side. Dewalt machines come with over torqued hardware. Do yourself a favor and take the top cover off so you will have more room to work with.

Agree. Just pulled mine off and the exact same screws were over tight and stipped out when I tried to remove them. I ended up having to use vise grips to remove them.

What would one do if the roller had become stuck in the retaining bracket? Replace both parts?

Do you mean roller stuck in the bushing? This happened to me. I put the bushing in a vice and put vice grips on the roller and twisted back and forth as I pulled and the roller eventually came out.

Nice video, but how do I remove the roller brackets when the crosspoint screws are frozen in place/ I am afraid of stripping the head . I have already put WD40 on them to loosen them up but no success yet.

I just had a problem with this. Had to cut a slot in the top with a dremel. Then put a slotted bit in a socket and used the socket wrench to turn it. Had the same issue with one of the bolts on the top of the unit. Thinking I'll replace everything with proper hex head bolts.

I have ran into the same thing. I managed to get 5 of the eight out and then ordered 4 replacement screws. I wonder if anti-seize would be too much...
