Obviously, Rust can't make headshots or heart shots instantly fatal to animals, but I think that nerfing their run speed regardless would be a good compromise! @@chainreaction8977 then it's just bleed though, which arrows already apply. Bleed also already has a nice, it slightly counters med syringes (as only bandages or medkits will work for it). Don't know if armour reduces bleed damage too, but consider this; Maybe poison would be slower than bleed, could only be healed by medkits (maybe add another item to specifically heal poison too?), and would be applied the same regardless of armour.

Imagine a Zerg collects all the planes. They have a handful of people go out on the ground, but then send up like 12 people in planes. Anytime someone on the ground spots someone, a plane just falls from the sky on top of them. They could even make it so you can turn the engine off and glide (I used to love doing that in DayZ) -- so you're just walking along, living your best Rust life when a silent plane flies into you and explodes.

Fr i went from playing Ark (both evolved and ascended) and the devs never patched bugs like meshing or game breaking bugs and making the game worse (was still fun) then went to rust and saw game breaking bugs/exploits get patched within a week

Planes could be fun, a little goofy, but I know of one specific use that would be awesome...Floatplanes. Can take off and land on the water, which could make for some incredibly fast means of travel across the map and also to other locations like the oil rigs and such. High risk because of slower take off times, but could be super fun.

I want to see the Bandit race. A serverwide announcement over PA systems (monuments and player created) telling everybody to get to the roads to watch, audience participation (and destruction.) All Mad-Max style vibes. My only gripe is the current car system isn't quite suited, it's quite easy to take down cars right now, so it would be an easy event to grief. Planes are a big second for me. I know they'd be unwieldy and the helis would be better, I just like flying planes.

Planes make sense as an aggressive counter to helis, give them some powerful forward fixed weaponry and make them faster than helis- A good plane pilot could just joust an attack heli out of the sky on a well-aimed pass. I can see them being a menace to scrap helicopters and balloons as well. Give the plane 2 seats, enable a buddy to fly along or act as your gunner Give some planes floats so they can land in water, etc. :)

Maybe planes would be a viable option if they were faster and used less fuel than helis (as they in fact do). That is definitely something I would like to see added to the game. Let the pilot alone control guns, rockets, bombs. Add a slot for explosives and let players run suicide missions :D

Advantages of planes : - Bombing your enemies - Roleplaying with them (they seem to be on a roll with that lately etc bikes barrels and building skins) - Parachuting out of them - Faster travel than other aerial vehicles Pretty much some nice stuff so I don't mind these updates.

I think the planes could be cool if u can load them with guns (like on sentry turrets) and then bombs too, or grenades, c4 etc and get into bombing raids and dogfights, on the other side of that, scrap AA guns that can be loaded with regular rockets/ HV rockets would be really cool. Helis are good for transport but as a solo, offers no defensive/ offensive capabilities. A plane that could have a bomb bay and turret points put on (like how the car is modular) would offer a greater use for solos as well as for teams. Imagine getting your own air force, made up of a ton of little teams going toe to toe with another air force made up of opposing teams, bomb raids, dogfighting, ground combat etc. It could possibly change the way we play with the right implementation and balancing

Hopefully they're thinking similarly to me because the planes are cool but without stuff surrounding them they're shooting themselves in the foot. that perfect push/ pull flow where it feels punishing and rewarding when ur on the wrong/ right side of it

The need for a landing strip can be solved if, instead of a plane, they put in a seaplane. Bro! I love the radio broadcast idea, they could make that a secondary feature of the monitoring station. Although similar things can be done in global chat, imagine if the monitor station included a HAM radio where you could call out an SOS or counters, announce your shop, host your own radio show, and anyone with a simple receiver and speaker could tune in and have your station playing passively in the background.

I actually gave a detailed description for the digital clock back on May 10th in the official discord ideas channel. I'm excited to see that the devs are listening!! (Imagine automating things at certain times of the in game day, or knowing when it is 1 hour to morning to start kitting up!) -Hopefully cliffs get key climbable areas like what we see in caves. -Lakes in the middle of the map mean you could finally fish without living on the perimeter. -Canyons would make for great ambush spots. -I hope box sorting allows for item type (would be nice to group similar clothing types, ammo, tools) -I love that they added colorblind friendly settings (I'm slightly red green deficient and have trouble with trees), would love to also see color options for the entire game experience as a whole.

I wish bandit would have those old carnival horse races you could bet on. Have like 6 different horses and it being RNG whichever one finishes first. Then you could make it so you could bet on 1st, 2nd, 3rd ect for a higher payout. As far as monuments an old scary carnival would be cool. Ferris wheel or merry go round you could turn on and ride. Fun room, slides, horror house. Just seems like a fun monument the devs would enjoy building.

Here's some ideas of mine. Make tug boats actual tugboats by being able to tow a small boat, rhib, sub, etc. 😅 jetskis would be a cool new item as well, ideally you could mount it on the tug boat as well Make toilets an actual BP, and make a mechanic for needing to use the toilet with the piping tool or be exposed if doing it au natural in the woods. Recipes, where combining certain foods such as deer meat, hemp, and berries creates a meat and veggies dish with extra stackable bonuses, a kitchen sink and stove/microwave could be added to game to make this work. This would help players make use of various foods like corn pumpkin etc instead of spamming hemp and potato farms. J

Make Rope Craftable! BUT... Do whatever needs to be done to keep it balanced though, (since rope is used for satchels and ladders), but at least create some means of an option to craft it, however difficult. Some Suggestions to Maintain Balance: Require a direct research only blueprint and make it cost 125 scrap, Make it really expensive to craft (like 80 cloth minimum each), Perhaps even require some PLANT FIBER in the recipe (this will add new usefulness to plant fiber and make the ability to craft rope harder to access and not so OP) 30 second crafting time. Rope is literally one of the easiest things to craft in a real life survival situation. It should be craftable in Rust.

I think we absolutely need planes but make them float planes that you buy from the harbor. Would make oils much more fun

Not arsed about planes, I'd still love buildable boats, so build base to the size you want and build on it in the same was as usual.
