It occurs to me you need a Brompton bicycle for visits like this so you can take it folded on the buses and then cycle to the hotel. It might open up a bit more travel to get to those post card view points (apart from cycling up crazy hills in Largs of course!)

My wife and I stayed there in 2022 and found it the perfect place to wind down and enjoy great food. The unusual perspective of watching the 5 fingers of light from the lighthouse at night swinging over the dark view towards Belfast was unforgettable. Now I can post. After seeing your video, and knowing I was in Scotland for a wedding, I booked a night at the Corsewall Lighthouse Hotel as a surprise for my partner - and she was absolutely delighted with the stay. We were in the Firth of Cromarty room which has its own private balcony and a view of the light tower. We ate at the hotel and the food was first class. The steak I had was melt in the mouth delicious, in fact all 5 courses were excellent. Breakfast (as you described) was perfect. You mentioned about a storm on one of your attempts, well Storm Ashley hit overnight during our stay, which was fun to watch! Thanks for the video, Scott.
