Its so crazy to think that I was so inspired by Planet Coaster when it released I started to pursue a career in Theme Park Design, and now, as Planet Coaster 2 is released, I'm a professional designer working in the field. I would kill for a first-person free roam mode, where instead of just viewing the park through the eyes of a peep, you can actually spawn in as a free-roaming character you have complete control over, and you can roam your park creation at your leisure, cue up for rides naturally, and whatnot. Would be awesome :)

Knowing Frontier, if it doesn't do well, they will abandon it, and you'll have to connect to their servers to prove you own the game even though no one can buy it anymore, because they are stupd and wouldn't release it for free. Absolutely amazing! Looking so forward to this. Two things that will be essential for the sequel: 1. Actual dark ride mechanics. Way to make rooms dark w.o. changing the time (so outside still light) 2. Proper coaster smoothing. So the coaster pov is more realistic and doesn't require manually tuning each tiny section.

So many issues we pointed out at release at the Early Bird forum that eventually got fixed in Planet Zoo instead but not in Planet Coaster. Yes, I’ve played Planed Zoo instead by this reason. That is amazing, the reason I moved from RCT3 to Minecraft back in the day was mainly because I wanted to walk through my own parks and although there was a camera pov looking through the eyes of a guest, that was not the same as walking through it yourself. A lot of things I hope they fix Proper lighting through water at night this goes with the water fountains being invisible at night even with illumination (kinda needed now cas of the whole waterpark thing) Fix a stupid bug where triggered speakers overlap and cancel each other out when you have about 8 connected to the same circuit also add a volume meter Moving lights need better customization, can’t make a rly cool light show with the severe limitations, I mean it’s possible, but the amount of work for it to happen is crazy

I’ve waited many years for a true successor to RCT3 with the ability to build a water park next to your other rides. I loved building pools and slides. I made one water park with three large pools on different levels and my guests could slide down from the top pool to the middle pool or take another slide which would take them directly to the bottom pool. Thanks Frontier for doing it again. I’ll buy PC2 on day one for my PS5.

Uhm, no, not really. That name is misleading. The official site says that you can only share your save game asynchronously via cross-platform so that someone else can load it and work on it. The game itself is unfortunately still a single-player game. :( If there was a real multiplayer, that would have been a reason for me to buy the game. But unfortunately I was disappointed with that statement.

One thing I would really love for Planet Coaster 2 is some kind of smart theming brush. I never put a lot of hours into the original Planet Coaster because while it was certainly possible to make some amazing theming it just took a lot of time to get a nice result. And this is fine for the people who love to put hours into creating the perfect visually stunning rides. I loved looking at the creations that some people put together but for me I simply don't have the disposable time for it which meant that my parks usually had a pretty spartan look which eventually turned me off from the game. Some kind of (AI?) brush that will auto theme the area that you paint would be a god-sent for people like me.

This is super interesting. Sounds difficult, but if they had the brush be just plants, rocks, and ground texture that'd be helpful. Then you can place your own decor to go along with it. Anything more than this would be unrealistic in terms of what I think is feasible right now
