Planet Coaster 2 Has A Consult Problem?

Today we will be talking about planet coaster 2 and the possible UI issue that makes it feel as though you're playing on Console when you're on PC. I like the bigger menu on the center of the screen, always found the menu of Planet Coaster 1 to small. If they take the new menu but display the attractions as thumbnails (like in PC1), that would be actually really great imo!

I definitely have concerns with the consolification/mobile game nature of the new UI.

As much as I see PC players complain about how the game is made with console in mind (I understand that frustration), I’ve never actually seen/heard of anyone playing this game on console. I have no idea what people think about how this game plays on console.

I played on console, and I absolutely loved it. Took a little while to get used to all the controls, and then I was crushing it. Can't wait for #2

@@Storm23PS3 That’s so great to hear! I was basically already sold on this game, seeing all these new awesome features. My only real concern was how it felt on console. I can’t wait for this game…

@@jarmoliebrand2005 It felt really good. Again, it took a little time, but working through each scenario which made you focus on different things each time really got me used to them. Did you play the first? If not you should try it out. I was thinking of doing another run through it before the 2nd releases as it has been a very long time.

I play Planet Coaster on PS4 Pro and it plays great and run smooth movement. Solid 30fps no stutter. Things just take longer to build on console because you don't have the same freedom as a PC mouse. I will have the PS5 Pro to play Planet Coaster 2 so I'm hoping it will be 60fps. I'm sure it will be awesome. Even if they produce a mouse and keyboard for it, who wants to sit in the living room with a mouse and keyboard in their lap. I'll be playing it on a 65" 4K OLED, sitting comfortably 8 feet away. PC is a totally different gaming experience.

I have played on PC and console. For these types of games, I prefer a mouse and keyboard. Console controls were optimized really well, and I did not miss my PC controls.

I bet they'll tweak a lot of this before launch. They wanna keep this game relevant for at least a few years so there will be plenty of improvements and updates after launch too.

i play on console and i love the game, the reason i play console is cause i cannot afford a pc capable or running the game, and i love it, i love all the creativity that it provides and its great that they are allowing people to play the game that brings joy to so many people, if u guys are complaining about having to move your cursor to click a button along with a few other things then i think that says more about you than frontier

Every content creator that was invited to preview and play the game did so on a PC AFAIK. Console players will be a part of this release, but I think its not going to get the same care as PC version even as they tout the same across the board game. The PC version of Planco sold 2.5million+ copies, not to mention all the DLCs. I was unable to locate any numbers for console version, which makes me think it must have been very low, otherwise they would tout the numbers. And unless the console can download the game there is a physical CD that has to be made and packaged. My guess that they sold less than 500,000 console versions, and perhaps made enough money to advertise it for PC2 as a cash grab.

Two things really. For one the build they are showing is anywhere from 4 to 6 months old. I also play on PC. Do I like the UI no not really. Will they change it in any real way heck no! It is what it is. They made a clear decision. Obviously they put this UI to the testers and for some reason they went with this one. Will their be Tweeks to it yeah of course but nothing like anyone wants. Just be happy we got almost all we asked for. One more deep dive and then we are playing. All in all I'm so happy!!!

It has no new features not borrowed from older games, skyrocketing system requirements, and ray tracing pulling performance down even more. This is obviously going to flop outside of the hardcore Frontier fan community. Console sales is the only reason why this has been greenlit.

I feel like it’s beating a dead horse at this point complaining about the UI. I believe you can either just not get the game, or deal with it. It’s not like modders aren’t going to try and fix the ui for pc anyways.

Guaranteed the console built limit is dreadful like the first game because they cant be assed to optimize properly

So this guy does not how to compare anything. Says about UI of train selection and building selection and then compares it to the Finance Menu. To different UI screens.

RO ..you sound a bit perturbed and worried. "I gotta press an extra button to view the thumbnail" lol oh my. I'm sure PC will have more UI freedom than console and a smaller font size as usual so stop crying. PC has more RAM so you will be able to build bigger, more detailed parks just like every other building game. If you are worried about the UI limited by console, I can't see you limiting your park detail so it is compatible with console 'friends?' Console has a fixed RAM size so the devs know exactly how many objects can fit into RAM. Every PC has different amounts to RAM, so the devs just let you build until your RAM fills then you suffer stutter and pop-in then stop, or buy more RAM lol. PC parks may not even be shareable with console gamers. We know that PC blueprints cannot be shared with base PS5, but they can be shared with PS5 Pro, which is strange because both consoles have the same RAM size. I guess performance is impacted if you have too much detail in one small area.
