If tickets for pools are sold at stalls, I wonder if you can also sell tickets for other rides at stalls instead of at the ride itself. Also selling tickets for the park in front of the gate would be a great addition.

I hope that they make the ability for a pool to be "exit only". One thing that always bugged me in RCT3 was that people jumped in and swam around in the pools that were just meant as a slide outlet. I haven't seen anything like that yet, so unfortunately I have my doubts that it'll be part of initial release at least.

I don't think it will be in from the start, but we know Frontier is't against chancing things after Feedback from the community. However, looking at the tall yellow slide, with the narrow pool section, there was nobody swimming there, so maybe making a smaller pool section means the cims cannot swim there (Because of hitbox), so maybe that is a way to use it for slide only.

I hope there are more climates than only the tropical one. It should be that building pools and slides in a cold climate won’t be used by guests, but when you build them indoors the guests will enter (and don’t need sun screen)

Hope we can designate pools and slide splash pools only (no swimming)? Seems super weird to see people swimming in a splash pool, but ignoring the wave pool. RTC3 had the same really annoying issue.

Still the guest distribution between the 3 open pool seems weird the smallest pool (2:02 to right in the back) seem totally packed, the slide pool over crowded, yet the pool at 1:43 has significantly fewer. Guess its just because the quieter pools are further away form the entrance and guests just go to whichever is closest when they want to swim.

They should add those dryers at certain theme parks where you put in a dollar and it blows hot air so whenever one is put by a water ride/pool there is a chance a rider will use one

I hope you can make wave pools that look like actual wave pools with the wide and shallow entries and narrow deep ends. Not just a swimming pool that can make waves like in RCT3. Because that’s not realistic.

I hope that there can be variable dephs to the pools. To me, it looks kind of goofy to see npcs swimming around in a pool deeper than them, where in real life most pools are below their height

The one thing I don’t like is how the rafts just disappear into the water - very unrealistic. Surely it could be developed so the guests place the rafts back onto a conveyer belt as you would see in real life

One thing I haven't seen anybody talking about is the lack of towels on the chairs. If you go to any pool in real life there's literally towels everywhere, so in the gameplay it looks SUPER weird to see all those pool chairs with no towels on them, and guests not drying off with towels. I know it's still an in-progress build of the game, so I'm hoping Frontier is planning to add those in at some point before release...

I think it is more the uneven distribution of guests that seems weird. The splash pool for the 3 slides is crowded, yet the pool next to it (1:45) has much few guests. And the smallest pool that we get glimpse of at 2:02 is the most crowded?!? 😵‍💫 Could just be a result of the Flow Field path finding and guest AI, where they jsut go to the nearest pool to them when they want to swim. Plan Co 1 had the same issue where far parts of the park got significantly fewer guests.

I somehow hope (now with the completely new pathing system) that they will implement a similar mechanic for buildings into future games. For example for a potential upgraded Planet Zoo that we could build nettings with this polygon mechanic (what would be extremely helpful for building aviaries or just the netting above for example habitats for big apes). Or in general as an additional building option (additional to the already existing grid mechanic).

Though I'm also hoping they up their game for Plan Co 2 and do fully customizable indoor restaurants and shops where a variety of different thing can be sold in one place. high hopes I know, but its that kind of thing that would really set Plan Co 2 as a true sequel.

4:45 For a waterpark in summer, that is not overcrowded at all, I hope they leave it as it is, reducing the numbers so pools are half empty in hot weather would be less realistic.

@@Nadz203 But uneven is exactly how people are distributed in real life. You don't have a nice even distribution of people anywhere that large numbers gather. It can be a water park, theme park, zoo, shopping mall, music festival, airport, whatever it is there will be areas that are more popular, for any number of reasons, and so there will be more people in those areas, that is completely normal. So it wasn't an issue in PC1, parts of the park having fewer guests is just how it is in real life.

@@RudiRennkamel Yeah I'm hopeful that weather will play a part in how many guests will use pools, but we shall see. The fact the passing of time in game now seems to be measured in days, rather than months and (mostly) years makes me think the weather and seasons will play a bigger part. In PC1 the time passes so fast that if the weather/seasons had an affect there would be no time for it to make a difference. If it suddenly becomes say Oct, and the temperature drops so that people stop using pools, by the time all those guests have got out the pools, gone to dressing rooms, got changed, left the pool area, it's gonna be February again and they will be turning around in another 2mins when the weather gets better in March. This is the same for all rides as well really, the time passes too fast for it to really have an affect on the popularity of rides and what guests want to do, but with the time passing much more slowly in PC2 makes me think that is so the weather and seasons can play a bigger part in how the park operates from season to season, and adds a whole other level of management and design to the game. Maybe I'm just being hopeful but I can't think of another reason to so drastically change how time passes in game. Either way though, my point was that pool isn't overcrowded for a busy water park! I went off on a huge tangent there, sorry for the rambling haha

@@Thelightning1out I would imagine there will be options for turning off certain management features. Frontier seem very aware that a good part of their fan base just want to build. That said I'm also hoping for some significant new and improved management gameplays and feature for those who felt like it was lacking in Plan Co 1

I’m very suspect about the console version of this. Planet Coaster 1 on console was a disaster really. It had some fun aspects, but the build limit (aka Oswald Eugene Counter) ruined the game. Clicking on one prebuilt coaster with no scenery and it would take up 15% of your build limit. Having a max guest cap at 4,000 also made it hard to be successful on the financial management side of it. Then they put salt in the wound by being totally greedy and irresponsible by offering expansion packs knowing the console version had such incredible limitations. Just rubbed me the wrong way. Take a game like Grand Theft Auto 5, you can cruise that gigantic open world map with all that scenery and detail, moving cars, people walking and not go through a load screen. This was a game released way back in 2013. The fact that you click on one coaster, place a toilet stall, a food stall and a staff building and now all of a sudden you’re already at 25% build limit is just outrageous. I know it may not be a fair comparison because it’s two totally different companies, but it shows what can be done when designing a game. I played the original Planet Coaster on Xbox One X, i could start with a blank piece of land, build, add scenery and detail and be at my build limit about 2 hours in with only 1/3 of my available land developed. I’ve seen the developers say that there will be the Oswald Eugene Counter in PC2, so I’m anxious to see how much can be built. I’d be playing on PS5. If it’s anything like the crap in PC1, then I’m passing on the game, at least until it goes way down to like $20

Well first of all, you played on last gen. 2nd you can't compare GTA with a building games. That's a totally different aspect. GTA was also developed for console while planet coaster is an adaptation. Now I won't say it's gonna be perfect, but this time it will be much more free with a game being developed for console right away

No one is playing the version of GTA that came out in 2013 though, it has been updated and re-released several times now. It's not a fair (or logical) comparison for many many reason besides the company making it.

Some things I agree with, but PC was never built from the ground up with consoles in mind. Also comparing to a game like GTA 5 a terrible comparison. It's not the same type of game, assets are already in a predefined location and it's made by a company with a higher single game budget than the entire frontier game studio is worth. I've personally not had a bad experience on console
