Planet Coaster - Aerobats of Arabia (Part 8) - Egyptian Alley

The Egyptian alley is one of the main thoroughfares into the domain of Aerobats of Arabia. A first stop for many visitors and an important sightline for the giant mosque, this shopping/dining street isn't all that special on its own but crucial to to complete the area.

What a joy to find a new notification from Silvarett on Planco ! This Egyptian alley is truly superb. 👍 By the way, I really like the shader settings on your game ! Shadows and contrasts are very pronounced. I don't know which shader to use. It really adds a lot to the atmosphere of Aerobats of Arabia I think.

Thanks! If it's any consolidation, I lost my exact shader settings, so next video(s) will use slightly different shaders - but I use RTGI for Reshade by ‎Pascal Gilcher.

I love this series so much, it's such an enjoyable thing for an architecture nerd to watch and enjoy. I would suggest going for something like Venetian or Byzantine architecture as a transitory style between European and Middle Eastern styles if there is going to be an extension, or even a move to Ethiopian architecture (e.g the Royal City of Gonder) as a fun change of expected building styles.

My secret plan is to transition from Egyptian to Moroccan to Moorish - Spanish and so into the northern mediterranean :) but for sure Venetian architecture has lots of arabic influences too!

So thrilled to have another entry in this series! Missed these videos so much I went back and rewatched all of Jägerhorn a few months back lol. Would kill to see this expanded into a park, really liked your idea of transitioning the architecture through different styles/eras in connection with other lands. It's a lot of work to take on but if you ever did a substack/blog as a "reading list" with the resources you draw on for inspiration (or even just things you find neat) I'd be there day 1!!

The idea of it being a park with the transitioning architecture through different areas is a really really good idea and I feel like that could potentially be something that would keep it interesting, both in terms of creation and in terms of viewing. Maybe each new area could be a new series, with all of them combining into 1 park eventually. I think that could be really cool.
