Planet Eclipse CS3 Paintball Gun - Review

In this video we are looking at the brand new Planet Eclipse CS3 Paintball Gun!
If you are looking for the best of the best then look no further than the all new Planet Eclipse CS3 paintball gun lineup. The CS3 has all of the latest upgrades which make the marker the best in class.
The biggest upgrade from previous CS series guns in the Fully Double Decoupled Drive (FDD) which gives the gun a 50% increase in valve chamber volume. This lowers the working pressure of the gun all the way down to sub 100psi and reduces the sound signature of the marker. It also reduces the recoil which gives overall tighter shot groupings. Another benefit of the ADD is efficiency. The CS3 is at least 20% more efficient than similar previous models.
New barrel kit. All CS3 models come with the brand new S63 barrel system and includes .685 and .689 inserts. You can complete the kit with additional inserts to get the best paint to barrel match. Another great upgrade is a mechanical frame which removes all of the electronics and makes the CS3 tournament legal for all Mech only events.

One thing I dont understand is why do paintball companies think everything needs to connect to your phone? If you can put Bluetooth in it, why not put a built in R/F Chip to work with hoppers in instead? R/F is the best form of hopper activation and no one uses it anymore.

Buy a used cs2 and a 77 tank. You will save money and shoot more paint then darn near any pack can carry. Shiney and New is all you get with this thing.

That's a dang clean design. Makes it relatively easy to have alternate bodies too. Too bad the box sleeve has nicer color scheme than any of the actual guns...

Hey Rory, the CS2 has a much larger chamber for the regulator than the CS3. Did they indeed make that smaller, if so, why?

Really confused about the need to adjust velocity while the gun isnt aired up? Other than maintenance or repairs, ive only ever adjusted velocity while it was aired up.

Shot this at cup… ok, but I would prefer the geo 4 as it feels like a better shot. Still nice but if you have a geo 4 or CS2, this is not worth it. Unless you have the money to blow :-)

Agree 100%. Couldn't really tell a difference between this and my CS2. Not really worth it unless you need an extra pod out of a 77ci.

How do you like the ergonomics of the cs3 vs the geo 4? I really like the ergonomics of the geo 4 but I don't really like the feel of the trigger.

Yeah as a cs2 owner (from ans) I cannot justify the cost of upgrade. I can justify an LV2 though. Love the feel of the LV platform. Nothing has a nicer shot imo. Again just my opinion.

Thank you for all the work you've been doing. Even though sport is dying, I still believe this sport is the most exhilarating game ever. I hope it makes a come back someday. My boys never liked the sport as much as I did and price for field gone up 100% last time I check 4 years ago. My field and other close to it closed down due the pandemic. Then there's this inflation... I ended Mt biking instead.

The problem is with what PE advertised as well as people seeing that $1700 sticker price. If you bought an expensive car wanting it to be fuel efficient and it only got 18 mpg wouldn’t you be upset aswell ? PE shot themselves in the foot. They should have said 10-15% upgrade to efficiency. At the end of the day it still is an awesome gun marked up for inflation but people are making a huge deal because of what appears to be false advertising. Me personally I would still buy one PE is a great company and the gamma core is bulletproof

@@derektodaro6362 any product that comes out is tested under the perfect ideal conditions. real world usage will not give you the same results. Specially with cars. As for PE, their markers are tanks. They’ve proven to be the Toyotas of the paintball industry. They just keep going.
