If paintball was big in Japan, I probably would have picked one of these up, the geo 3.5 and Lv1.1 were 2 of my favorite Planet Eclipse guns that I shot in 2017, loved them to death

Geo 4 sounds airy like the 3.5, and cs1 series as you would expect from PE IV spool. The CS2 has that clacky sound as with all of the gamma core markers. After watching a break down of the geo4. It really has components of the CS1 and desired features missing from cs1 that were on the 3.5. More of a revision or what the players wanted in a cs1 or what they didn't like about the cs1.

dont get me wrong I absolutely love the iv core always have always will but ever since the gamma core and gp core i cant see myself going back to the iv core not knocking the iv its incredible in its performance but the feel of a gamma core shot and reliability and gentleness on paint blows the iv out of the water for me its a really impressive feat of engineering!

it could be the tank is too high since it isn't particularly lp. I don't remember hearing it so it also could be the mic on the camera.

I have a CS1 that does the same thing - from what I have been told and have researched - that is perfectly normal. Shockers vent just above the trigger frame and the body- and apparently most DYE guns vent else where (I think out the back cap?). But yea should be perfectly normal!

iirc the SFR controls how quickly air is vented from the solenoid which controls bolt speed. So there will be a tiny puff of air coming from it every time you shoot

Hi. Greetings from Germany. What pressure did you set on your regulator? I use a Ninja Reg V2 pro, which I can set to 800, 700, 550 or 450 psi. What would you recommend to make the marker work most efficiently? I would be really happy to get an answer.

People say you can't judge the sound differences on videos. You definitely can. I am too the point you can play a video of any Current markers and I can close my eyes and tell you what it is by the sound...but I can do the same with cars also.

Well I’ve been shooting geos for years now imo one of the best platforms ever made. And when they switched to the cs series with the cs1 even though it used the same iv core I feel with the internal reg it didnt have the same shot quality or feeling and to put it bluntly I hated the shot of it. when the cs2 dropped I’ve owned 3 now and every single one I’ve sold and picked up one of my gsls or other 3.5’s instead, the gamma core is nice and all but the shot just isn’t as soft . So to hear you say the shot feels reminiscent of the 3.5 makes me verrry happy that I preordered one of these the day they were announced. Great vids as always! Ps are you able to put that new soft tip bolt in say a 3.5?

Sadly, I don't have a 3.5 to test the bolt. However, I asked Planet if they'd sell the bolts aftermarket and they didn't have an answer. But they didn't tell me, "they won't fit."

I think the new geo4 bolt will fit in any iv core gun because it will ( hopefully) have the same length. I run a cs1 bolt in a geo3 with iv core without any issue 👍🏻

@@kevinunger8084 You can always wait to buy the geo 4 until you have the money. If you are set on buying it, then save everything you get to buy it. If you don't want to save all that money for the geo, then the 170r is also a great purchase.

front grip is like the cs1, but to be exact it is like the CSR/CS1.5. Planet Eclipse made an update after the CS1, and put a reinforced pin where the grip connects to the body of the marker. I know this because I have owned a CS1 in the past and currently own a CS1.5. So the front grip bending on you shouldn't be a concern.

You mentioned that the IV core takes a little more maintenance then the gamma core. What does that look like? Is that just more attention to lubing o rings or are there parts that need to be replaced more often??

The gamma could pretty much run without lube, so that speaks on the reliability. I know someone who has never lubed their gtek for 3+ years and had no issues. Not recommended, but to each their own. The iv is very reliable and can take some abuse, but to preserve the orings on any gun, you should maintain the bolt after every weekend of play. With that being said both should take less than 15 min to clean and grease the bolt and reg. Both a 1 out of 10 on the difficulty scale

I lubed my older Geos once every 3 or so times I played (so about every six cases) or right before I played an event. I don't think I ever had to replace a part aside from an occasional ball detent or maybe an o-ring a year. They are pretty trouble-free.

@@pbnation When you shot the CS2, I noticed your right should was vibrating from the recoil RIGHT AWAY. Whereas with the GEO 4; nearly nothing. I had to go back to the beginning of the video. Something else I did notice: When shooting the GEO4, I did hear a faint pinging noise; almost reminded me of the First Strike/Guerilla Hero Regulators where the tank would ping when shooting. However, when you switched to the CS2, I did not hear it. (Sorry, it's part of my job to be observant)

The gripframe is just like the CS2. Not as fat as the CS1 but not as thin as the LV. Remember, the LV isn't gas through so there's less to fit in there.

I can see how the frame might not appeal to all body types. End of the day this is a high end shooter with pro level potential

Yes, there is a sound and feel difference. The inside of my hopper was coated with orange from leakers. The top of my speedfeed too. But the gun and hopper handled it.

The gun actually did break one ball that zinged off to the side but the camera didn't pick it up and it didn't leave anything in the barrel.

You could, and then you could gamble on paying 160 for a new solenoid if you can still find them by the time yours goes out. If you got one of those and you already like how they feel in the hands, great, keep em. I think the geo 4 is always a safer investment over the 3.5 at this point due to the rebuildable solenoid. Plus, quite a few people love how the cs2 feels but want the IV core back, and this gun ticks both boxes.
