I haven't playing in about 20 years, one of the guns I wished I bought back when I played was a Splat Attack Revenge v2.

LV2 just needs smaller grips, they are just huge compared to the LV1.6 and older. Perhaps next time you can do the side by side shooting at the end, nothing in depth, just sound sigs and just comments on feel etc.
@axledog7297Ай бұрын
If you look at *why* the grips are shaped the way they are, this is easier said than done.

If you had to pick one, which would you go with? I’m trying to decide between the 3. Had old school Ego before, getting back into it now trying to catch up

That's tough...bc all these new guns are so close in performance that it's down to shot quality and ease of use...so im gonna say, lv2 or cs3...or idol...ease 0f use.... Dsr+ lv2, or geo 5 for shot quality...sirry I can't pick jus 1 gun.

I see that it is better to buy an older paintball gun where they had a wider range of choice, even 30 balls per second, more options, more choice and you show something that the old Spyder would do the trick. Equipment priced at $1,400-1,700 is a joke and a disgrace for people who started their adventure in 1997 and spent a lot of money on equipment that guaranteed 30+ pellets without cutting. And they had the options of freedom or tournament ban. Thanks, you just proved that Platnet Eclipse is stupid. DYE also does the same thing, they produce the same thing and cut it, and they themselves harm the Paintball environment. I remember when SP Ion had more shares and was much cheaper $180 xD You know it well and there will be fewer and fewer people because older people are playing on PB and I don't see any young people. They can choose from equipment ranging from $1,000 to more. Aaah, you pissed me off!

Glad you sat through the whole video, but if it makes you this upset, you don't have to stick around. The issue with older equipment is that it's used, parts are hard to come by, and warranties expire. As for the range of price for equipment, yes it has gotten more expensive, but what hasn't? Just like with EVERY hobby, it's as expensive as you want to make it. Ultimately, if you're happy with your old Smart Parts Ion, auto cocker, Spyder, etc. no one is going to stop you from using those. Lastly, young people ARE playing paintball. We've seen a massive surge of kids and teenagers getting out there and playing. The future looks good and bright for paintball, but if you want to be pessimistic, I'd recommend to go to a different channel.

@@BFPGear I’m not being pessimistic; I’m just stating facts. I’ve traveled the world, attended events like the World Cup, and I live in Europe. I know the beginnings of paintball very well and deeply appreciate legends like Bob Long, WDP Angels, Cockers, and Shockers, early PE e-blades that changed the game. I started with a Tippmann 98 (not even the Custom) and learned through trial and error. What I wrote about modern markers and their limitations is based on reality. Pricing these at $1,700 is absurd, and you’re promoting equipment that, in your opinion, is the "best of the best" but only shoots 10 balls per second. Let’s not forget the older markers-those with a dozen modes, incredible BPS, and customizable boards that made the sport thrilling. Remember the fun of overshooting and the hype it created? That was part of what made brands like DYE, DerDer.... These markers could shoot 30 balls per second flawlessly, then 20, then 15-and now we’re stuck at a paintball "autism" of 10 BPS. Even an old Tippmann could handle that speed back in the day, and people laughed at how basic those markers were. Now, you normalize mediocrity and call it a standard. $1,700 for 10 BPS? Processors on modern boards are slower than those from 15 years ago when Atmega chips were just emerging, and people had fun with DIY cheats and hacks. That’s where the joy and innovation were. You should criticize the industry for this, not defend it. Have some integrity! And yes, the player base is much smaller now than it was a decade ago. Look around, most "pro" paintball players today are over 40, probably 70% of them. Even you’re pushing 40, my friend. The glory days of paintball were something else: women going topless, wild shows, and an overall electrifying energy. That’s all gone now, and we’re left with a sanitized, diminished version of the sport we loved.
