"I cant belive how many polygons they must be using, I mean the characters are perfectly round!" Oh 2001.

That's insane. Their core values stay to this day. Honestly every Wii u game I've played has run really smooth with no dips in framerates.
@mrgamer217994 жыл бұрын
Ironically, the Wii U was probably not very fun to develop for lol

@@mrgamer21799 Neither the switch tbh. Only nintendo main teams and few others like platinum games or Panic button know how to optimize on it. Every other company it's launching underpowered ports
@mrgamer217994 жыл бұрын
@@sebman6031 last time I heard, the Switch is highly developer friendly. I don't think it's just Nintendo and partners that are using the hardware extensively.
@sebman60314 жыл бұрын
@@mrgamer21799 For indies maybe. Also a lot of people just want their games there becuase any switch game could potentially sell like crazy. But more complex games always have something odd about them (resolution, fps, textures, light effects, draw distance) Like how both xenoblade titles on switch run worse than their counterparts on wiiu
@mrgamer217994 жыл бұрын
@@sebman6031 I wouldn't say that's a problem with the architecture of the system though, more like the limitations of the hardware.

Sure Nintendo’s graphics have improved but the experience is not the same anymore as it was on the GameCube ,back then Nintendo actually cared about the fans making a machine that you could play with friends etc, and it had zero load times no other console has achieved that, and the fact that it made the multiplayer and single player experience better than ever

did I see Kameo Elements of Power in the trailer in the beginning? the launch title to xbox 360?
@MistaSparkyy8 жыл бұрын
Haha! Yes, it is Kameo. I know MS bought Rare shortly after this because Grabbed By The Ghoulies was originally developed for the GC and then changed around for the Xbox.... Its just funny that it was probably intended for the cube. Makes me wonder how awesome (Well...even more awesome) Gamecube would have been if they had kept Rare. Nintendo had a chance to counter offer for Rare but they refused. A bad move on their part honestly.

I was just watching a video of Starfox on Wii U and it's barely a step up from the gameplay shown in this video, and this footage is 15 years old lol, what a joke, Nintendo have been left in the dust
@17mrbrightside8 жыл бұрын
But look at how beautiful Pikmin 3 is compared. Star Fox is not a great example.
@PixelPerfect288 жыл бұрын
Sorry but nothing Nintendo is making today looks much better than what they were releasing 15 years ago.
@17mrbrightside8 жыл бұрын
With all due respect, that's kind of an ignorant statement. They haven't released much in this last year that looks great but Nintendo have released many games that hold up graphically to this day. Not that graphics are even the most important thing about video games. Super Mario 3D World and the new Paper Mario are extremely vibrant and look wonderful. The new Zelda looks great. Bayonetta 2 was great looking even if that wasn't directly a Nintendo game. Though you may disagree with me and that's fine, video games are an art form and it's really up to the individual how to interpret each game.
@PixelPerfect288 жыл бұрын
I didn't say their games arent nice to look at, but i dont think it's at all ignorant to claim their games dont look light years ahead of what they were producing 15 years ago. Do me a favor, check out the difference between GTA San Andreas and GTA 5. I believe there's only only an 8 year gap between them and the difference is staggering. Now look at Mario Sunshine and Mario 3d World...they're comparable other than the fact one game is in HD and the other isn't. I actually think a HD version of Mario Galaxy would look better than 3D World graphically.
@17mrbrightside8 жыл бұрын
I agree with you on the Galaxy thing for sure. The Galaxy series is among the most beautiful video game series I've had the pleasure of playing. Though I definitely disagree with the Sunshine being at all comparable to 3D World. Pikmin 3 is leagues above 1&2. Smash Bros 4 looks much better than Melee. I understand what you mean though, they haven't wow'd anyone graphics-wise in a long time. Hopefully they can remedy that with their next console.
