Thank you. Each night there was always something going on and something to do. The bars are hot!! Either there are love shows, acrobatic performances, or street vendors that come in to sell goods. We were never bored

your reviews are the best ! The big question is how does it compare to the Iberostar ? As I told you a little while ago we just got back from the Barcelo Maya Palace and my wife and I like the Iberostar better so was wanting your thoughts ! We just don't like going back to the same resorts twice

Thanks Charles!!! Iberostar will always be my favorite. And I tend to compare many of the resorts we visit to Iberostar. I can honestly tell you this gave Iberostar a close run for it's money. But personally, if I could return to either of them, I'd shoot for Iberostar!

great video, we r thinking of booking the Adult side today but just wanted to know about the activities and entertainment....we like the busy pool activities with music and having lots to do....with Covid, do they have all that now on the Adult side or is the family side more busier? We don't want to be bored.

The adult side was WAY more busy than the family side. There were DJ games, volley ball, and other pool actives. I don't think you'll have a hard time keeping entertained. Enjoy and have a great trip.

Is the resort’s is smoking free policy or they have designated area for it ( me and the Mrs both are smokers) and can we you use the adults side pools , amenities if you’re staying in star class family side ? Hi and thank you very much. There were plenty of people smoking - Cigarettes, cigars, hookah, vape, etc... So that shouldn't be an issue. And from what we saw, as long as you're an adjust you should have no issue being in the adult pool. Every now and then a child would wonder into that pool and the staff would respectfully guide them over to the other pool. But as for adults from all around the campus, we didn't see any issues. hope this helps!

Amazing Video and review, we booked for week of August 16th ! Did you take advantage of the spa and hydro circuit? We stayed at grand moon palace last time and wondering if this resort is comparable?

Thank you. I haven't had the pleasure of staying at the Moon Palace yet. Didn't do the Spa or Hydro option either. However, we are returning to this resort with extended family this summer. Its rare I'll do the same resort 2x but we had such a good time, we're revisiting it in Aug

Thank you so much for the great and thorough review! My boyfriend and I are looking to go to Mexico next month and this is one of our top 2 options. Would you say that this is a decent resort for nightlife ? We are hoping to have a good nightclub to dance at ! :)

Congrats on going to Mexico. You'll love it!!! Each night there were things to do. Various shows, DJ parties, acrobatic shows, etc... Then when the main events were over (around 11 or so), everyone would either hit the bars or outdoor club deck. Bottom line, you'll have a hard time being bored here! There's always something to do which is great. Hope this helps.

I'm planning a vacay to Mexico this summer and this is one of my top 3 options. KZbin reviews have all said the place is great, however the Google reviews have mixed reviews, mostly talking about bad service and smelly rooms. What are you take on that?

Here's the best answer I can give you. My family and I are actually returning here in Aug for one of our family vacations! We didn't experience any of those negative issues from the google reviews. Hope this helps!

We have two girls 12 and 15. We have stayed at Beaches and Secrets resorts. Can you tell me how this compares? I read there are extra costs. Can you tell me how much the surf rider costs? Are there any other activities for teen that you have to pay extra for? Are all the restaurants and coffee included? Great video, Thanks for sharing.

Hi! In terms of prices and differences that might be tricky. I can tell you what package I had and what that entitled us to though. We had the Star Class package which gave us a luxury suite. We had access to parts of the resort that were for Star Class visitors as well (snack areas, parts of the pool, etc). We also had our own personal butler that took care of our restaurant reservations and room accommodations. Coffee is free for everyone at the coffee shop, regardless of what package you buy into. Flow Rider is free as well if I recall correctly. When it comes to ad hoc activities (shopping excursions, snorkeling, jet skis) that is all extra $$$. Each day there were pool activities like water aerobics, volley ball... Every night there was entertainment as well. Live shows, DJ Parties, dances, etc... It is VERY hard to be bored here! Hope this helps.

WOW congratulations! I'll miss you by a week or so. We're actually returning to this resort in the middle of Aug! Each night Planet Hollywood had great shows and evening activities. We loved them! I HIGHLY recommend getting a cabana. You'll have a guaranteed space for your personal items during the day, a place to escape the sun if need be, a TV that you can stream music to, a personal Jacuzzi, and a refrigerator! It really topped the vacation off for us!

Hi! I paid around $140 US a day for our private cabana. Worth every penny!! We ordered that when we got there. We didn't do this in advance.

What is your favorite Iberostar property in Cancun? We are deciding between Planet Hollywood and Iberostar for a big family group with lots of teens

That's a very hard question to answer! LOL Planet Hollywood is phenomenal and way newer than Iberostar. However, in my opinion the campus for Iberostar is the nicest. Both are perfect for kids and neither offer something the other doesn't. We're returning to Planet Hollywood this August. That's how much my wife loved our visit. So stay tuned for an updated video!

How do you set up appointments for the restaurants?

We were assigned to someone when we got there and we communicated through WhatsApp Each morning our aligned rep would reach out to us on WhatsApp and give us our options. We then chose where we wanted to be and she did the rest for us.

@@johnherron2071 You're going to love it! At the height of the pandemic my wife and I made the mistake of checking out prices. I guess tourism was so low, the resorts were desperate to just to fill a room. The prices were 25%-30% of what we just paid for this vacation. Oh well...

My guess is without the star class bracelet, you won't have access to any star class areas. I'm not a travel agent so I'm not 100% how much extra the fee was. Sorry. I remember it wasn't very expensive though. Cheap enough where it didn't make sense NOT to go for it.

Jay, you left out the 2 hour wait for a steak, the Mexican restaurant made me want Taco Bell. The resort was very spread out. Two beers limit in your room or 16 beers for $40. Good buffet. One hour ride from airport.

@@bobmoeh12 When we went we had a "butler". Each day she would reach out to us on WhatsApp and ask us what we'd like to eat that night. Once we messaged her back, she would make the reservations for us. It was pretty seamless. I agree about the drinks - very good there!
