A special salute to the fun "flair" you've been adding to your videos (box flips, moving transitions). I won't be surprised at all when I click Play and see you do an epic somersault off the table, over the chair and stick the landing at the game shelves.

Thank you for your how to play videos! I found this game based on the fantastic reviews on Amazon. I watched your video prior to purchasing, to get a feel for how the game is played. It arrived today, and before playing, I watched your video again with my 9yo daughter. We played tonight, and we both understood very quickly how to play. It was fun! Your explanation was very clear, and easy to follow. My daughter won the very first game played - she was thrilled!

Really good rules explanation as always. I bought this game for my girlfriend’s daughter (8YO) a while back and have played it with some friends and my nephew (6YO) as well. Both adults and children loved it. The variations allow for harder or simpler gameplay, which makes it more accessible and enjoyable both for little ones and adults. Its also a fun way to introduce children to different types of animals. One of the best games I’ve bought recently.

I was interested in this game, then i played it in a con. Cool idea, but i won't buy it. At first it's neat, but then you realize you can't see your entire board all at once. It becomes hard to see what you actually have in what is essentially your 3d board. So just to look at your board, you have to constantly fiddle around to turn it to see what's behind, on top, left right, bottom, top again and ok... next turn, turn the board left, top, bottom, behind, and so on and on. At the end of a single game (that lasts around 30 minutes), i could start to feel my wrists getting a bit sore. It would start to seriously be painful after an hour doing this. Both my wife and I thought it was a cool game, but would've been better served with traditional squares or hexes on a simple 2D board. My young teen daughter found the 3D board cool, but the game itself meh. I would tend to agree with her. The game is fairly standard at the end of the day. Only the 3D boards gimmick makes it interesting... but it's an annoying gimmick in our opinion.

I love the tactile nature of the game. Also very smart to reduce the value of the animal cards that match your natural habitat. You have to way the decision of adding pieces to your planet that match you habitat, with trying to get animal cards that don't match your habitat(to get that one point bonus). I think I'm going to hold off purchasing this for now. I think it's a little too much for my 6 year old to handle. He is currently in love with Flash Point Fire Rescue and Kingdomino(we've played twice and he won both times). I just ordered Photosynthesis. Can't wait to try it out. Also can't wait to play Pandemic with my son in a couple of years. It looks like a fantastic co-op game. Cheers

Question. For the cards which cannot have a region touching another region. Does that mean the region cannot touch it on the side at all? Later in the game when there are few spaces left a single region may eventually touch another. For example Ice touching desert. Perhaps there is a big chunk of ice going on three different sides, but then one of those magnets touches desert. So could a segment of the region still count as the biggest and then win the card? Hope that makes sense.
@WatchItPlayed5 ай бұрын
For a region to satisfy the requirement (seen here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/raLXeoCGmc-Jnckfeature=shared&t=322) the one habitat cannot have any one of its sides touching the forbidden type, anywhere.

if you meet the requirement for populating your planet with a species, must you continue to meet this requirement as you add subsequent tiles in order to score a point for that animal at the end of the game?

My boys and I got hung up on how to “count” a region if one of the area triangles can count as touching a region with one of its POiNTs only. Meaning - several areas can group together to be a larger region, but w an animal card that specifies which habitat a region CANNOT touch- can you count the area triangle as a region that only touches the TIP of the other habitat’s area? (does not share a side with the unpermitted habitat.) Basically, we got confused when several areas comprise a region, but the area triangles within it sometimes only share a point with the other type of habitat. We weren’t sure whether we could separate out the area triangles in a region that did not share a side. Confusing! Hope you can answer this! Thanks!

I always think the age suggestions are really better decided by the person making the purchase, because honestly, some young kids can play very complex games, and some adults have trouble with very easy ones It's going to depend on so many personal factors.
