I'm an instant fan of Sobunar of the Depths. I mean it's cool that he looks like an Axolotl. But what makes him unique visually is that, as Monarch puts it, Sobunar is an absolute *unit* . The dude is *massive* . Sobunar absolutely towers over his colleagues. Like, I honestly don't understand how those seats at the Great Ring are supposed to hold the weight of a mutant of his stature. And he seems to have a charismatic personality to boot. I hope there's more to his power than just bleeding and creating ocean ecosystems. If he was an omega-level hydrokinetic mutant, I'd absolutely love that. That being said, I'm also quite fond of the Lactuca and Xilo's designs. I love that these Ancient Omega Level mutants hardly resemble humans at all, and they're absolutely cool with how different they look. I think there's more to Sobunar's abilities than what we've been shown. And I bet Lactuca can contribute more than just absurdly accurate spatial knowledge. Xilo, though, I still don't understand what his power is even though we get to see it work. We knew that Sobunar and Lactuca occupied the Day seats of the Great Ring of Arakko, but Xilos's name was redacted in X-men 16. I'm wondering why. His power appears to create life like Sobunar's does, but why was his name redacted from the Great Ring organizational chart? Anyway, I loved this issue. We got to see more of Arakko and I absolutely loved it.

I think we just saw aspects of the omega level arrakans' powersets. Sobunar probably can generate water and probably any form of aquatic life directly from his body and totally agree, he/she is pretty cool. Xilo is a bit of an enigma but his power definitely seems to revolve around earth because in the end he also crafted the statues. Maybe he manipulates the Earth directly by actually fusing with it. I think Elixir was responsible for introducing the living microorganisms and it was Xilo that then helped to spread them far and wide into the deepest reaches of the soil. He/she also probably contributed to adding the inorganic elements to the Earth as Elixir's power is strictly biological and we did see the elements from the periodic table being added. Honestly, the Arrokans need their own book even if it is just a 10 issue launch...I am a lot more interested in them at the moment. To this day I am still so curious to know what limits if any that Isca the unbeaten has...such an awesome epithet. Like if she fought Hulk who would win?

I think Xilo is a superworm, he transforms into like worm creature consumes the earth, poops it out and make organic matter, making the land fertile. He can also carve mountains using these worms

@@Ephideltrance I hope you're right and these displays are just one of many applications of each Arakkii's respective powers. I feel like Xilo might be the most powerful of them all as his abilities appear to be multi-faceted. He was the only one of the Day-seat members to be redacted. I also agree that we need an Arakko title. But I'd want a long-lived title if I'm being honest. I find the concept of ancient mutants to be extremely fascinating. I love that these Arakkii Omegas hardly look human at all and, unlike they're modern equivalent, they have no self loathing in regards to the way they look. That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing an Okkara prequel-miniseries. Apocalypse's children were quite interesting as well. It'd be cool to see a series focusing on the emergence of Okkara and how Apocalypse and Genesis ended up meeting. That being said, it's a shame that we didn't get to see Idyll. I really was hoping he/she would be popping up in this issue.

But I kind of doubt it. Even though Xilo looks far from human, he does heavily resemble an earth caterpillar. So he may not be a Daemon.

About bloody time! I imagine this decades ago. Once you get all the "Tech-Mutants" together, a planet defence system would be suggested. Yes, "more money, mo' problems". Their warrior race attidude - Survival of the fittest/conquest is life/might makes right/the world belongs to the strong - is the reason that they couldn't fit in on Earth, or even with the Krakoan Mutants, whom they viewed them as weak. Namor would never beg but he would regret distancing himself from Krakoa. Namor has such an attitude that actually holds him back, in 'Power of X' he was one of the most relevant mutant invited by a humbled Xavier. Magneto, Xavier, Frost, and even Apocalypse respect him so if he accepted, he wouldn't even have to negotiate a seat on The Council because just like Krakoa (whose authority on anything happening on the island is absolute), he would have got his own seat apart from the council. He could have negotiated that anything on or in the sea (other than Krakoa), Atlantis has complete authority which would make Atlantis and Namor really rich (due to hellfire trading) and give Atlantis more influence in the political and financial and natural environment (I believe before they gifted Namor Neptune, omega mutants would find some way to clean up the sea) fields. Neptune could have been terra formed into a sea world with Namor as its ruler and Regent of Sol (since I don't know anyone other than Magneto or Namor worthy of that title).

Epic issue. The flex tho. They have a planet. And they made it habitable for life. You don’t have to talk about superiority. Just show it. Love how there energies came together. Storm created a livable atmosphere. Didn’t know she could do that. Magneto bought tons and tons of iron. The power that takes… the mutants from arrako just creating oceans and livable land. Even Jean. Lifting and throwing the whole sword station to magneto. Mind f$&@ Jamie the way she did. Jamie just creating out of thin air. Iceman cooling an entire planet like it’s nothing. Not sure what exodus did tho… Flex after flex in this book and I’m here for it.

Yes, it was definitely a fun read and getting to see mutants utilize their powers in unique ways. I must say the Arrakan omega level mutants sure seem interesting, I like that they don't really look human. I think Storm could only manage that feat after Mars core was established and their was a magnetic field to hold the atmosphere...then the ocean etc....all the elements were their to mold and manipulate to create a climate. Everyone was just so magnificent.

Yeah I've always argued this Storm is often looked down on because people fail to realise that she always has to hold back to not permanently damage earths atmosphere but here? She could unleash without a worry wish they emphasised just what exactly she just did a bit more because its incredible

@@Ephideltrance I honestly was shocked. Because her flex was one of the biggest ones. Without her life would not be possible on the planet. She made an entire planet habitable. The way she fussed those energies together was incredible. Everyone really displayed a level of power that I didn’t know they had, with probably the exception of iceman. I know he froze hell at one point so his power level is ridiculous. And maybe magneto, he’s been flexing for a few issues now. To see everyone just showcasing the abilities so freely was just a beautiful thing to see.

@@tmd-w1552 agreed. They could have expanded on what she did more. But I know storm has been the center of some issues lately, so maybe they didn’t want to focus too much on her but more the cohesion of all these different omega level mutants working together. But she is a class all her own

@@ozziemsmith yes...good to get an upper limit on Jean's telekinesis too. I didn't like that she isn't an omega level telekinetic again, only a telepath but at least her telekinesis still powerful. I just hope though they bring back her unique powerset that young jean had....to fuse her telekinesis and telepathy together to channel psy energy around her. I think in the past decade Storm has had some of the greatest feats among the xmen and this was before she was even confirmed omega level. When wolverine died we saw that at her peak her powers are global. Well I think all omega level mutants if pushed to their limits can affect all of Earth.

Way to get the Precogs out the way, Charles and Erik… Also, since we know from HoX/PoX “mutants always lose” this certainly makes it harder for them to do so. Maybe EARTH mutants always lose? Or maybe when the Phalanx eventually come to shut shit down (did anybody else get that from PoX?) they really do take down planet Arakko? The Brood, Sidri, Xandra and the Shi’Ar, Starjammers, Snarkwar, etc…this cosmic alliance the Mutants have been building up hasn’t been for nothing. Can’t wait to see how it pays off.

That's my question. Lactuca said "She knows what's in your hearts." and Jean was kind of unsure of whether that should be taken as a compliment, it made me raise an eyebrow. There's also Idyll, an omega precog on Arrako's council. Either of those could spill the beans. For example, if she knows where Moira is (and says she's ANYWHERE other than dead in the dirt? There's instant problems).

Idyll and Lactuca sound like an incredible combination. We saw one of the Idyll's in X of Swords, and Genesis may have had him executed or imprisoned. The following data sheet explained that Idyll was a line of clairvoyant mutants--there's a new Idyll per generation. The Great Ring Organizational Chart also lists Idyll as one of three occupants of the Dawn seats next to Isca and Tarn. And the chart confirms that mutants can only maintain these seats if they have Omega level powers. So Idyll is confirmed to be an Omega Level Clairvoyant Mutant. We haven't seen who this generation's Idyll is yet, but he/she should already be a threat to Moira *in addition* to Lactuca. And if I'm being honest, I still don't understand how a clairvoyant mutant can be "Omega". So I'm really anxious to see Idyll introduced. It's unclear if Lactuca has pre-cognitive abilities as of yet, but he/she has omniscient geospatial and spatial knowledge. Lactuca would know where Moira is if asked. I'm sure Lactuca would be able to tell Rahne where her son is. But Arakko bases their philosophies on survival of the fittest. Even with their knowledge, they may still let nature run its course. The weak will fall and the strong will survive.

Destiny wasn't specific to which Island would betray Mystique. Sometimes I still think it could be Arrako betrays her.

After this, I don't think Xavier & Magneto are just stringing Mystique along for the hell of it. There's a danger that precogs will reveal that mutants always fail and destroy everything they've built. But I think Magneto and Xavier plan to make mutant kind too big to fail. Spread across the stars, Otherworld & any other place. When finally they're too big to be pushed to extinction, maybe then Destiny and other precogs can be resurrected.

@@shadowsaiyan My guess is that Magneto and Charles have IMMENSE fucking egos (something Moira has had to fight against in multiple lives) so their goal is likely bigger than that. Imagine TEAMS of reality warpers terraforming system after system with mutant-only worlds. This feat took mere HOURS. They could do entire countless solar systems in just a year of expansion. Krakoan gates means instant access across a vast empire. And they no longer fear death. But I think their long game is this: Charles & Erik heard from Moira that mutants always lose. They also heard the Phalanx consume the Earth and are led by an immense, super-dense conglomerate of hypercivilizations that exist outside of space-time. They are undying. They heard from Moira that in one life there were Chimera mutants and worked in concert with other chimeras to meld their minds and powers to accomplish incredible feats. THAT"S what I think their goal is. An all-powerful Mutant Worldmind beyond the range of their enemies. Something that can work to ensure mutant dominion in the universe in-definitely. Because both see mutants in charge as their birthright, a coronation justly deserved.

It’s stated by destiny that krakoa and all it stands for will fail and if they don’t revive her they are tricking mystique so yes it’s gonna happen. They’re attempt to kill nimrod resulted in the destruction of the humanity in the doctor who’s conscience was in it making it more deadly. Also as shown in Moira’s future timeline.The mutant faction even established a foothold on Mars, as the war spread throughout the solar system. Needing more of a frontline army, they turned to Sinister, who established breeding vats in a facility on Mars. This timeline may be different but I see a galactic war being even more likely

@@spencersss1251 I see your point. Counterpoint tho. Destiny said Moira has 10, maybe 11 lives. What if she does only have ten and if she does her, that's it? No more retcons. No more changes. This is how it is forever. Destiny can see the future, but she doesn't know everything. Plus as long as Moira doesn't meet Destiny, she'll never know exactly what happens. And considering we've seen Moira with Destiny's Diaries, maybe she figured out a way to subvert whatever is coming.
