Little disappointed in this album. I've been cruising through this track by track and there's a lot of good, there's just this energy that feels like its missing imo. It's the same Louis Cole funk, it just never.. pops? The softer songs are good I'm sure, but are not for me. Im glad he makes them. Variety is great for an artist. I think this song can be a perfect example of what I mean. Its unique. Its funky. But it just never capitalizes on the energy completely imo. At 0:46 I'm really feeling the funk, then it switches things up. It's still a unique funk that sounds great, but my mind is wanting more energy and I feel like it gives less. I don't know. Maybe it's me. I think Louis Cole's music is at its best when it's this kinda hyperactive freaky funk.
