Bringing in the salt water croc will be great to start off in elite zoo south. You would only have to buy one croc for a breeding pair. I love the way the skating rink looks. The ice sculptures are great too. I'm personally glad this series is still going. Many others who played planet zoo are done with there series already. But they aren't as good as this one.

Also, the first keeper should be Steve Irwin if the saltwater croc is the main attraction.

I noticed in the last episode that guests trying to get on the steam train at the entrance turned around because the entrance line was full. I think in the future make the line a little longer may help.That way they can queue up better and don't get unhappy and have to walk less.

Here's a fun fact about dodos. Just like how the Fu dog was Ancient China's attempt at depicting a lion without ever seeing one, the image of dodos we're all familiar is the attempt of Europeans to paint a dodo from just a few vague descriptions. Dodos should actually be thought not as so dumb they were just waiting to die off, but as a giant devil pigeon because they were in fact descended from pigeons. They went extinct because of rats eating their eggs, not because of humans hunting them. They weren't good to eat, and were in fact pretty dangerous because of their giant beaks. I very much approve of putting salties in Elite South, but this time you should make their enclosure based on Australia rather than South East Asia. Oh, I had a thought. When you do a trading session with the animals in the trade center, you should put a PE at the end of the animal's name so that they're easy for your fans to find if there's a lot of individuals on offer for that animal.

My favorite memories of Elite Zoo North, Om Nom Nom. I'd definitely visit this spot each day I visit this zoo. The noise making Pea Fowl. A constant conversation between these birds. The crocks getting stuck on the boat tracks. Stopping the boat rides causing it patrons to be hungry, thirsty, and have to use the restroom when they get off. The Tiger statue. The rock formation where you can view the bengal and the elephants at one. Ivory palace, my favorite habitat. With the waterfall on one side and a boat safari ride on the other. The intricacies of OrangoTown. Where the baby orangutan escaped constantly. And the finicky flamingoes. They need to stay in huge groups, like jaw drops 500 to a group. Their park still is beautiful. Thank you for create a beautiful zoo for us to enjoy and I look forward to Elite Zoo South.

I noticed when you were going through and training your vendors that 90% of them have a low workload. That means they're not working majority of the time, and it's also why you're constantly seeing stores that dont have vendors in them. You really should put your vendors in specific workzones so that they only work at certain stalls. The way you have it now your vendors can go to any stall in the zoo. I'm sure you're aware how massive your zoo is. Most of your vendors are going to get exhausted before they get to their location and will never end up actually working at the stall. They'll stop and go to a staff building instead. You can check to see how much (or little) your vendors are actually working by clicking on a vendor and looking at their details. It pops up in a pie chart and it details exactly how much time they spend on the job, walking, idle, and in the staff room.
@lemondroppe4 жыл бұрын
Also, I love the idea of making the crocs a main animal in your new zoo. They were one of the first I added when I made my new zoo. However, may I recommend the spotted hyenas? They make even more money than the crocs do. If they're in the right area of the world, I highly recommend putting them in first or second.

Yes on the crocs for ELS! They haven’t been making as much money for you as they probably could (they always make bank in my zoos) because you have a huge space for them and possibly not consistently the best views, so whatever you do with them in ELS be sure you are capitalizing on views and donations.

Second note: Of course as soon as you add water the snow in the rink goes away. All liquid water is warmer than snow and would automatically melt it. If it's cold enough weather for snow to survive, it would still be absorbed into the water and the top of the water would start to freeze. But the bottom of the water will stay warmer, at least until the whole thing freezes through, provided it's shallow enough. Otherwise, the ice, which is less dense, will stay at the top and insulate the deeper parts of the water enough to keep the bottom ground warmer. Hence, no snow.

Great episode, really nice to tie up all those lose ends! Also I am not sure but I think making it easier to get around every part of the zoo with the transport rides may help people be more efficient in their plans, and making sure the trains are working well and not leaving people behind at the queue, as I thought I saw that in past episodes.
@mmp13464 жыл бұрын
The community ice rink could be just a natural pond that froze over. That would explain its rough texture, especially if you add one or two ( no more) reeds to it at the waters edges. That white scaffolding when you built the water tower looked a lot like a beach structure. I would love to see that as a theme built in elite zoo south. Love the final result

I think there are many good options. How cool would it be to start off with the tortue again (as on a beach next to the crocs ;P). They were and still are money makers and it sets the tradition. Perhaps, however, keep some room to make a nicer entrance this time. You can customise the entrance building I believe. And perhaps a good idea to think about the pathing in advance. Now you often have a long road with one animal on one side, trees on the other side and then a path to the next animal. If your path is wide enough you can have animals on both sides of the path, shops directly at the path as well (or use villages like you just created as a sort of 'roundabout' where several paths go to and that people can go in every direction from there. This makes the distances smaller and also causes people to walk further down your park. Now, the back part of the zoo gets considerably less attention because the walks are too long without seeing a new animal. This is also a reason why people do not see the animals they want to see. For us some things seem short walks, but consider what you said at the Russian village and the picknick benches, it is much longer than it seems.

With indoor ice rinks, they build them a bit as you did in the village. The base is usually sand and gravel. After the base, there will be heated concrete and Insulation. Then they lay down piping on cold concrete, afterwards they put thin layers of water on top of the piping. They paint the ice after a few layers of water then they put another layer of water on top of the painting. As an ice skater, I believe your ice rink. Loved how the village turned out. Do you need to do a cover for the other side of Tundra Trail ? This is my first comment. Slowly catching up on the episodes! Found this series helpful during the lockdown. Also as an Australian, I am surprised there isn't an Oceania pack. There is quite a few unique animals in this region.

I think the crocs are a great idea to move in as the first animals. I usually start with crocs when I make new zoos, they are wildly popular and bring good donations. Also super cute, so no worries there. It's also a plus that they have a decent lifespan. I mean think back to the tortoises, they were early in this zoo and the babies brought in so much. As for the thirst thing with the guests, I think they're just picky about what to drink at this point. And I think the "animals they wanna see" thing get's hard to complete when the people are in a group, cause they wanna see different things. Now if you follow a person who is there alone and they still act crazy then we know the game is crazy.

Maybe a solution to guests happiness is to have plaza areas around the zoo away from animal enclosers. Then have toilet blocks on route to animal enclosers, these may help with congestion and over crowding around animals, which will also help with animal welfare. To make the plaza's interesting you could add exhibit animals ie spiders.

I know that the land has obviously been covered in snow, but I think it’d be nice and bring a bit more nature and colour into the area by putting flowers and plants round the path x Also just an idea, to perhaps play with the terrain behind and around the area because the area commonly has mountains and elevations and it would just give the area more depth and not look like it’s just coming out and off the zoo x

Firstly, I'd like to say I do agree that the saltwater crocs will make a good first animal because of their fairly high appeal and being a nice tie into Elite Zoo North! However, I hope you recognize you likely won't make the same amount you are from them currently unless it's a more concentrated viewing area because that part of your current park is one of your more consistently congested zones and you constantly have 8k+ visitors at the zoo which you won't start with the same amount of foot traffic at the new zoo 👍🏻

The skating rink looks absolutely beautiful. Especially when it reflects the Sun and the trees! The baby bears are adorable too. I can't believe we only have 5 episodes left. It would be so hard to move on. I do love having the crocs/Nile monitors in first for the EZS. You'll need to scale their habitat down quite a lot and plan the view points more intentionally though since at the beginning you won't have as many guests, then expand later when you get more traffic. For the guest needs maybe it's just because the lines are too long. I noticed that in most food areas you would give 2-4 food options but only 1-2 drinks options. Maybe they should be more balanced? Also I know food plazas are great and realistic but spreading the stalls out might be more game appropriate. The guests don't seem to fulfill their needs until they're really low so you need to make sure there are stalls really close by as soon as they do need them. I know you said there were plazas close by, but remember that distance is enough to drop the needs by like 10% more. Same thing goes for the benches and washrooms. But honestly those are not real human so maybe it's just supposed to be like that?

Also education is important too. Not only about the animals but the general education as well. And also you haven't added lights in the recently built areas.

I like the idea of the salt crocks going to Elite Zoo South, and I liked the idea of @dragonsomething of doing an ausie enclosure, but I don't know if making them "central" would be ideal. I mean, gorillas, lions, elephants, even ant-eaters could contest that place. Maybe an "opening" enclosure both because is the first and would be the first you see walking in when EZS grows enough. I remember the tortoises being money-machines in that spot btw.

Was Dragonfae16, I didn't mean to be disrepectful, just went blank the second I started the comment.

Still have the blank spaces by the flamingos and Komodos that could be filled with something. Not even a habitat, maybe just more stalls. There’s also one by the tapirs, but that could be filled by an eventual South American inclusion.

I was thinking you could name a juice stand zootopia, like fruittopia. Also my boyfriend suggested the name cold cuts for a food stand in the Arctic area or the plaza near the Arctic wolves :)

Wow, only 5 episodes left for Elite Zoo South. Time flies so quickly, I don't know how to feel about that
