Hey trev! I think the top rocks of the cave or the one on the bottom were the reason that it didnt count as hard shelter. There is a way to see where your animals can or cant walk.

One of your buildings isn't attached to the path, if it's the trade center, well then no animals... and I think you're going to have to put coolers in all the habitats and just set them to what the animal likes, I'm guessing that will save you a lot of hassle... You can also lock daytime by setting your opening hours to like 9 to 8 or just midday all day.

Trev, don't be afraid to use that landscaping tool! Create some depth and height. It makes the habitats look more natural and it's nice to look at. Also, put some shad or coolers near the pathways to cool down the visitors. If they're getting too hot it will negatively affect your zoo rating.

Him doing the terrain reminds me of me putting down the textures in this map making thing that I use, putting it in very carefully and mixing it in, and making sure I have the exact right texure by combining textures.

One way you can make hard shelter is by using the push and pull it does take some practice to get use to but it works once you get something started

Trev what you can do is raise the land up in an area of the habitat, with the terrain tool and carve out a whole, and make a burrow!

Trevor, if you need practice, play sandbox. It’s very important in the sandbox to PLAN out your perfect zoo and transfer it in your main save. Because you practice in the sandbox, you will make less mistakes and encounter less issues along the way. And with sandbox, you can learn a lot so that way with your first zoo, you can easily make it better in a short amount of time.

For the hard shelter, make a prefabed one then build rocks around it

you can make them more comfortable with brick fence, cooler, they dont need a pond to drink but they have some water bowls most used is the one that automatically is full

Hey Trevor in the next episode if you use the cooler it’s temperatures adjust high enough to meet the temperature range for animals that don’t want it super hot. You can also use coolers around the park for when the public is too hot

Maybe the shelter isn’t working cause it is too close to the water. What if you moved it away from the water. Also, it probably is to low for them. Maybe if the roof of the rocks were a little higher 😊
