I've never seen your channel pop up in my recommended before now, but I saw this video and decided to click it and I'm so glad I did. I'm only a little under half way through this video so far, but I'm really appreciating your approach to showcasing Planet Zoo. So many other Planet Zoo people I have followed just speed through their timelapses so quick that I can't even hope to try and figure out what they are doing to make their creations. You have an amazing balance between live building and timelapses, and even better your designs are not so wild and crazy that an average player couldn't attempt to replicate it if they wanted to. You also do a really excellent job genuinely explaining what you are doing and what your goals are and have given so many tips that I didn't know about (I had no clue about the random rotation option before this video!) I also really really love that you also still love and care deeply about the management aspects of the game to the point where you're doing this on franchise mode in a pretty realistic way (not constantly just letting the game run to generate money). I also sincerely appreciate that you did this supercut so I didn't have to bounce between playlist videos - I'm sure this took FOREVER to render but it's so massively appreciated. You've gained a new subscriber out of me, I am enjoying this immensely. Thank you!

It's beautifully ironic this series ends today. I've been wanting to catch up with it but I never have time. And today I'm finally achieving my childhood dream of visiting the San Diego Zoo. I've been thinking about this all year. I was thinking "I'm going to then get caught up with the ethical zoo series, and learn building techniques, so I can recreate the San Diego zoo. And I'll also compare everything." So yeah, I'm very excited!

I just bought this game, and I’ve been playing it. I laid out the beginnings of my zoo and then realized that I had not thought my layout through at all. So I jumped on KZbin to try and get some ideas. I’ve decided that my first zoo will be a mess because I’m not going back through and re-laying down my pathing, however It’s going to be a Conservation Credits farm type deal. I’m going to breed up the best animals I can while slowly building conservation credits and researching as many species and themes as I can. It’s my understanding that research transfers between Franchise Zoos as well as conservation credits, and animals in your trade center travel with you, so if I use this chaotically laid out zoo as a Gold level/mutation breeding center, research opportunity and a Conservation Farm then I will be much better off when I start my next zoo. I’m also going to practice my building skills in this starter zoo, so hopefully I’ll be able to make my next zoo much nicer. I plan on having at least 1 Franchise Zoo each continent with a focus on the animals from said continent and then a grab bag one for my favorite animals and a sandbox zoo with as many species as I can get in it without it crashing, but I’m going to need a ton of practice because I plan on the sandbox zoo being ideally laid out well and very well built which considering I’ve owned the game for all of 2 days so far and am still struggling with controls is still a long ways off.

1. RE: Quandale's memorial... Not only was he the last surviving member of the original eight - out living his "sisters" - he was the first male animal in the zoo and - obviously, as the only male - the father of the first group of Capybaras born to the zoo. Come to think of it, every Capybara, alive in the zoo or released into the wild, at the time of Quandale's passing, could trace their lineage directly to him! Quandale was the ethical zoo's Capybara equivalent of Adam! 2. No North America section? There are some wonderful and very unique animals there. Here is a list of a few of the best known animals in North America: BEARS! (Black, brown, grizzly, polar & Kodiak), WOLVES (Grey, white & Red), DEER (from the tiny Key deer to the whitetail), COUGARS (aka: Puma, panther or mountain lion... depending on where you live. In the Sierra mountains - and other mountain forest areas - they are called mountain lions. In the southern US they are commonly known as panthers. In the arid desert plains of the south west they are often called pumas. Everywhere else, they are simply considered cougars) FOXES (Red, grey & Arctic) MOOSE (meese? mooses? nope, both singular and plural is just: moose! The largest of all Cervidae, which is the deer family.) ELK & CARIBOU (the 2nd & 3rd largest and perhaps the most majestic of the entire Cervidae family. REINDEER (Come on... you already know what to name the first 9, if you include Rudolph) CHIPMONKS! If you think the meercats were cute... SKUNKS (Although Black striped is the most common, they can be found in Striped or spotted, in black or brown; plus there is also the rare albino) These amazingly intelligent animals are also extremely cute and playful... Believe it or not, they also make GREAT pets! RACCOONS (aka: Trash Pandas) these guys are adorable and really mischievous PRARIE DOGS, GROUNDHOGS & WOODCHUCKS ... North America's most beloved burrowing animals. For the Groundhog, there is entire day dedicated to one of them! And a woodchuck is the focal point of the English speaking world's most famous tongue-twister! COYOTES (Scavengers of the desert and, of course, you would need a roadrunner or two). JAGUARS, BOBCATS, LYNX, OCELOTS & other WILDCATS BISON, DONKEYS, WILD HORSES, BLACK-FOOTED FERRETS, ARMADILLOS, OPOSSUMS, PORCUPINES, SNOWSHOE HARES, MOUNTAIN GOATS, MUSKRATS, BEAVERS, OTTERS... SEA LIONS, MANATEE & SEALS (what is cuter than a baby seal?) WOLVERINES & BADGERS North America has an abundance of unique animals to offer.
