What do you all think of these Aquatic Mods and their animations? Would you use them after seeing this video? 😊

No xD but that's not just animation wise. I do think that mods will be the future of Planet zoo, just like it is with Zootycoon and Zootycoon2, mods can be game changing :)

Fully aquatic animals unfortunately looks weird in game so I removed from my game. Modelings were good tho' so kudos to all modders worked on those. Even elephant seals kinda feels weird. One thing I have problem with some mods is if you use animals enchantment tab to filter suitable ones automatically it crashes the game. So you need to go with your memory to remember base animal and use suitable ones which can be a pain with people like me who has not the best memory capacity out there. Still even with all those downsides... which are minor I love to add mods in my game. Oh also definetely want to see second part for aquatic animals for fish... Never tried smaller fish models in game but if they can make exhibit type fish mods that would be nice addition to any zoo for making an aquarium section I guess. And again thanks both of you guys for taking time to make mods and modders more visible to community.

Well for starters I came up with an aquatic gate hack tutorial so that keepers can place full-aquatics into they’re tanks in a way where the gates and the animal dispensers are separate ^^ No Free-build Mod needed!

I did use them in the past and the diversity was really great, the sharks, fishes, manatee, dolphins and such. Only I share your opinion with the animation, that whats holding me back now + as I mentioned before, the constant updating New animal mods. The models are great, fingers crossed for better animations.

I tried a bunch of aquatic mods but after watching the fish swim across the ground and dolphins flop to get in the water because the zoo keeper unboxes them on land. It disturbed me so much I uninstalled the mods 😂

I have a whole Amazon aquarium and since I don't use FreeBuild I make an elevated backstage area and a small piece of land right at the gate. Enjoyed what I built, but needless to say it's not the only thing I'd wanna build with these aquatic mods.

I apologize to be that person but the Tylosaurus and their relatives are, in fact, NOT dinosaurs. They belong to the order of Squamata which includes snakes and lizards, while dinosaurs are more closely related to crocodilians and pterosaurs. That being said, we actually do have dinosaurs in Planet Zoo: penguins, ostriches, flamingos, etc. Birds are, in fact, dinosaurs!

The biggest issue with aquatic mods for me is with the fish, so maybe that will come up in an eventual part 5 haha, but it's that the fish (being based on something like a caiman) have pretty big hitboxes, and of course the depth requirement, so you can't really easily make like a small aquarium tank, it has to be a pretty big one.

Honestly, before the game's life cycle ends, they should include one fully aquatic animal and one fully flying animal in a DLC just to give modders some rigs to work with.

only medium to small aquatics. because large ones such as dolphins and orcas should never be in enclosures. and many aquatic parks are highly controversial. would love to have fish that you can place in ponds and other bodies of water such as carps that dont need to be in habitats.

​​@@emptyforrest Dolphin Research Centre in Florida houses rescued Dolphins that wouldn't survive in the wild. There are ethical methods to house dolphins, but I agree it's a touchy subject. If Planet Zoo ever went that route, they'd need to make it extremely clear what conditions Dolphins need to be kept in captivity...just like any other animal. Elephants are of similar intellect and, in the wild, have massive territories, yet we don't complain about them being in Planet Zoo. I never did understand the quote-unquote ethical argument for Planet Zoo. You can trap a polar bear in a 1-meter by 1-meter desert enclosure with 50 heaters in this game; we should understand that what's in a game doesn't translate to what we should do in real life, even for pre-teens.

Omg it looks soo cool !!! The green sea turtle is definitely a favorite! And the manatees omg we need some in the actual game!!!!! Theyre the cutetest things ever!and they look absolutely stunning just like the rest! Are you maybe doing a zoo with some of these modded animals ? Idk if thats possible 😆 would be really cool though! Already love these vids!

Tbh there is actually a way Planet zoo can have flying birds. They could mabye have this new type of exhibit known as "large exhibits" which work similarly to walk through exhibits where like u can hide it and build it ur own way or u can sync the mesh or net. Then with this feature they can have birds of prey as well since these large exhibits are not walk through and then for less dangerous birds like macaws they can place them in either walkthrough exhibits or the large exhibits. As for aquatic life mabye they could have new barrier systems known as mabye tank walls similar to Zoo Tycoon 2 then the gate would be a ladder instead of the basic habitat gate that we have.

I've used a handful of aquatic animals for an underwater temple diorama. It was so strange seeing a bunch of sharks and dolphins hopping along the land to the water 😂😂

0:05 Thats not a dinosaur. Thats a tylosaurus, a marine reptile. There closest relatives are snakes and monitor lizards. Dinosaurs are more closeley related to crocodiles (and birds are dinosaurs)

I would like it to happen in game like as a dlc pack, and would be a lot of cool stuff people could do in planet zoo, but I feel like with it there might just be those people who bring controversy with it. @@DeLadysigner I was talking specifically about aquatic animals. When Planet Zoo was released people compared it to Zoo Tycoon and asked for extinct animals and animals like wales and sharks. The answer was that they do not have it planned at that time and in terms of aquatic animals they do not want to benefit this type of animal enclosures since they think it is wrong. People are allowed to make mods, but to create something the devs outspoke to be against is not respectful at all.
