So cool !! I would add a few mud tube worms (tubifex) as permanent food for the shrimps. I also have an Ecosphere with dwarf shrimps and they love to eat them. They also loosen the soil and ensure that the nutrients in the soil are processed. However, I also have a land part in mine, so the springtails still process a large part of the nutrients.

I have been very successful using Fluval Stratum in both my low tech and high tech CO2 tanks with shrimps 🙂

I can say I have had about 50 shrimps an when I first put them in some of the shrimps pass it could be from stress it also can be from the change in water Parameters an as for the Anubis it is going to change from immerse growth to submerse growth so those leaves are going to brown an fall off
