over the past decade, I've watched dozens of "Universal Size Comparison" videos but none of them even come close to what this one made me feel for the first time. I think it's a mix of the quotes used, the tiny sun comparison to gallant that is Canis Majoris, and most definitely the Music (perfectly compliments the whole "your galaxy is but an insignificant drop in the universe" theme). Mr NixxxoN, I commend you for sparking this deep epiphany back when I was still in middle school.

It is impressive. Perhaps you might not be aware, but the background song, "Ride On" made a huge impact in my life !. It was somewhere early in 2009, I came across this video because a suggestion by my astronomy professor to see an example of planet size comparison. When I heard this song, something special happened. I could listened to it over and over, as if the cosmos was communicating to me. Little did I know, there was a spiritual transformation happening inside me. Now, Dec 2o14, knowing what I know now, declaring myself back then agnostic, now I can truly say, I can state that I am strong in my Christian-Catholic values. I looked for Jesus, as a result of this song. And I found him. Any feedback you guys might have, all are welcome. Benito Aguirres. Dec 9 2014.

Great Job!! The only thing I might suggest is zooming the largest object from the previous "slide" to really give the viewer a rough idea of the size by motion rather than keeping track of "oh, that was the biggest, i'll play 'where's waldo' on the next slide". Best one i've seen yet. good choice in music. Now go the other way... quarks & gluons compared to planets, stars, and galaxies. Quite an extreme scale.

That is correct. VY Canis Majoris used to be estimated at around 2000 solar radii. But it has now been confirmed at about 1400 solar radii. With 40 solar masses, it is a Red Hypergiant. Though it is far from being the most massive. Blue Hypergiants, though much smaller, are a lot hotter, more luminous and more massive than their red counterparts.
