I started playing back in 2015 on a laptop that could barely handle 12 v 12 fights and fell in love. There is nothing like Planetside and seeing its development rise from the dead like a Phoenix brings a tear to my eye. Here is to many more years of this game and more content to come!

Projectiles should only go a few feet in the water. Indar should have a flood event after the new continent is locked where water gradually rises. Tanks should have a torpedo type projectile option or a hybrid self-propelled shell, an deployable equipment option for flotation that will raise you came to the surface and can be destroyed by enemy where they can sink back to the sea floor.

I was in flooded Indar and it's really fun. The NSX Amaterasu melee weapon is going to be king in underwater shortcut jaunts.

I jumped on briefly too, water was surprisingly fun change to the norm. Some oddness with some vehicles and fall damage in water needs ironed-out of course

To me it seems like Oshur is shaping up to be a Vanu paradise, vid hover-tanks and laser-based weaponry. Someone more knowledgeable in physics and with better insight than me, please point out what I’m missing.

I think the laser weapons won't work under water, but the hover tanks will be useful for sure. I'd imagine a speed penalty or something over water tho

The Vanu Sovereignty have plasma-based projectile weapons. A plasma projectile should travel further when shot into water than the lead and copper projectiles that TR and NC use. Plasma is somewhere in-between 6000 and 8000 Celsius. The water would evaporate before the plasma even touched it. Clearing a path for the projectile.

After playing a few hours of this game, i've got about 30 or so, I feel like this game is missing something. I think it's the minimalism of the maps. I feel like the maps should be worked on to feel more like people are there. Like there should be NPC civies with their own small homes & villages. There should be some animals. I also don't like how quickly the continents are dominated. Imagine how quickly one could conquer the world if we could take multiple continents in a day. Another minor thing that makes a big difference is pre-recorded responses. Being able to just say hello would make the game feel more social, I know there are some voice responses but they're boring.

With Planetside 2's population continuously decreasing, I don't think a new continent is the best approach.
