The game was developed by Behaviour Interactive and published by Activision, who took over the license from previous SpongeBob SquarePants video game publisher THQ after the company's bankruptcy and liquidation. This is also the first SpongeBob SquarePants game to be released for the PlayStation 3 and Wii U thus far, as well as the first SpongeBob SquarePants game to be rated E10+ by the ESRB.

Predictably, sponge heropants was so bad, it didn't even get a wii u or ps3 release. The game looks like a 3 dollar early access indie game on steam from the moment it starts to the credits screen. It's music is recycled from this game and the show. It's gameplay is the same. It has the same enemies. It has only one boss fight, and it's against a robot plankton. It's 40 fucking dollars! It's buggy and broken on top of that. #BoycottActivision

I got Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom for $14.99 a week ago, and it's a really good game! Plankton's Robotic Revenge costs 30 dollars and it's horrible? What a waste of money! I can't believe a cheaper game is much higher in quality than an expensive game for the Wii U! This goes to show that Activision is nothing but a bunch of greedy money-grabbing grassholes and that Heavy Iron Studios not only actually puts their heart and effort into their games, but they actually LISTEN to their fans! They WANT to make a remake or sequel to Battle for Bikini Bottom, but Activision won't let them! This is why Nick should give the license for Spongebob games back to Heavy Iron, because then people won't waste money on spit like Robotic Revenge! I heard Spongebob HeroPants is bad too.

I thoroughly remember the Instruction manual for SpongeBob SquarePants: SuperSponge for the PS1 and it was absolutely filled with color and information that it actually brought me closer to reading instruction manuals in every game i got. So much so, i actually made a Top Ten about them. When i saw this game on the shelf at a local game store a while back, i got that feeling that it wasn't going to be good...at all. Back then, the developers would actually put effort into these SpongeBob games and nowadays, they are just blatant lazy cash-grabs for the kids whom might get a kick out of it, because i remember solely liking those bad licensed games as a kid such as: Monsters Inc. Scare Island (PS1 Version), Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Scooby Doo & the Cyber Chase and...Shane Warne Cricket. I was a strange child. But yeah, i think kids deserve better than this and i recommend those fans playing those previous games of SpongeBob. Keep up with the awesome stuff, you are really entertaining. :)

I am finally seeing how bad this pile of dogsshit is. It is repetitive, it is not challenging, it is cheap, and it ends too quickly. I hate Activision. We need Heavy Iron Studios to get the License to Spongebob. I hate to see Spongebob games like this. I liked Battle for Bikini Bottom, The Movie Game, Lights, Camera, Pants. They were all great games. Sonic Boom is better than this Shit.(it really isn't 😂)I want the old Spongebob. The only way Heavy Iron Studios can get the License to Spongebob is by buying their license back. I heard that they want to make a sequel to Battle of Bikini Bottom. But people are still not going to get the game if you don't put in a full effort. Heavy Iron Studios will put in a good effort with all of their previous games. Badman: I hope the new spongebob game based on sponge out of water is good otherwise, i will lose all hope of a good spongebob game. me: Actually, it is way worse then Planktons robotic revenge. Activision never learned from their mistakes. Most of the problems from PRR is back, but much worse! It is even more repeative, the superhero powerups are OP, most of the monsters you fight don't make sense, the story sucks, it's graphics are worse then Sonic boom's, there is only one boss, which is too easy, there is zero challenge, it is lazy, it is too short, there is very few backgrounds, which are generic, etc. There is zero redeming factors about this game and it is Xbox only. There is a 3ds version, but it is much worse and has even less levels. There is a video made by Fred5107 about the 100 reasons why Spongebob Heropants sucks!

And more recently Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Mega Battle ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE THE POWER RANGERS GAMES RELEASED ON THE NICKELODEON WEBSITE FOR FREE! It makes it look like a game that was gonna be released on the Nickelodeon website but Bandai Namco decided to put it on consoles and charge money for it to cash in on the the movie. Also 3:49 Badman that sounds STUPID! It would've been better if you said that the graphics look like a PS2 game. The way you said it makes it sound like something Jeffy from SuperMarioLogan or SMG4 Mario would say. Lastly as someone else pointed out the manual tangent is just filler.
