Hey Annette...this was such an educational tutorial, especially for a beginner. I absolutely love your work and love that you are a wonderful teacher. It is so true and I still believe it today, even in my older age, that 'the teacher' makes all the difference in the success of a student. I thank you, Annette. Take care and stay safe.

Nancy, I came back to this video because of a recent comment, then saw your comment below it. I'm so sorry it took me this long to respond. KZbin doesn't always let me know when I've received a comment, so I have to go looking for them. This is a bummer, of course, because your comment was so very kind and meant so much to me. I love what I do, and I always strive to provide some education, so to hear you confirm I am meeting my goals really means so much. Thanks always for your constant support. Crafters like you are what keep me going!

Sure hope this is going to be a series. I love your designs and watching your process gives me a starting point to "scraplift" an idea for my own planner scrapbook. I like the idea of using these wonderful dies for more than just my planner, because it's difficult to do much embellishment with 365 days of planner notes. The condensed size makes it much easier and faster to design a page than doing so with my old 12x12 scrapbooks. So, thanks for sharing your creativity and a very belated welcome to South Carolina.

Thanks Claudia! Based on response and many requests, I will definitely be continuing with making videos like this one. I'm so happy you enjoyed it. I agree the smaller size makes it much easier to keep up with scrapbooking. (And P.S. We LOVE Greenville and the climate here. It's perfect for us.)

Did I already comment? These pages are so charming! And you make it easy to figure out what dies you use. I'm considering a few new dies for myself and wondering about the planner pocket. It's 2023 so maybe ECD changed some numbers in their catalog. I'm seeing 'planner pocket 3' as the label in your video and what looks like the same die set as planner pocket 4. It's not a big deal but if you see this comment, let me know. 🙂

Thanks Laura. I looked at my list in the description of this video and I have Planner Pocket 4 listed, which is what I used. Did I say 3 in the video? I couldn't find that, but it's definitely 4.

Your creativity is so inspiring. I have the majority of the dies and many stamps for the Camera set, Planner Essentials, & the Sidekick. Love them all and have die cut a lot of pages and pieces. I absolutely LOVE the way you decorated your Sidekick Planner cover. You mentioned you stamped the cover. What did you use to adhere the butterflies and were they cardstock or paper. I'm so afraid I'll mess mine up. Maybe it's a good future tutorial:) I have the Beach Planner Essentials cover as the Espresso was not available at the time I ordered. Thanks for your wonderful tutorials.
@AnnetteGreen3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for the awesome feedback. As for stamping the cover, I used Archival Black ink. I used a matte medium gel (adhesive) to adhere the butterflies. They were fussy cut from Graphic 45's Nature Notebook collection. The paper isn't thick but not too thin either. I will eventually seal over the top of everything with the same matte medium gel. That is a great suggestion for a future video. Thank you.

Hi Rhonie, and sorry for my delayed response. I would seal the outside with a clear matte sealer (also referred to as matte medium). You can either brush it on, or you can purchase a spray. You can find it on the artist's paint aisle in the craft store.
