Some general wedding things to keep in mind: 1. People are going to try to tell you how to do your day. You do it how YOU want to do it. 2. Be prepared that something will go wrong. It’s inevitable, it happens at every wedding. But just relax and enjoy the day. It will be perfect no matter what happens!
@2dumbblondes1014 жыл бұрын
#1 - PREACH! Everyone has opinions, but its YOUR day! #2- It poured down rain on my day so I didn't get my dream beach wedding, but it was still so fun!

3! Discuss ahead of time how much "alone time" / couple time you want on your wedding day. I would suggest taking time right after the ceremony to be alone and decompress and just be with each other (ALONE!!!! Like not even a photographer) maybe 15/20min. Try to be as present as possible, this can be tough, but that's why I liked those little breaks.
@stephanie14604 жыл бұрын
C. B. Yes! Good point! We didn’t even think of this for our wedding! Luckily, our photographer told us to take a walk down the beach together (we got married in the Bahamas) and just be alone for a few minutes. He used it as a photo op, but it was nice to just have a few minutes together where we could absorb the day!!

When I worked as a florist and venue dresser years ago the best piece of advice I gave to my brides was at some point during the day between your ceremony and when you sit down for your meal you and your new husband take 20 minutes or half an hour to go somewhere quiet together, either nip to the hotel room, walk by the oceans just by yourselves as the day goes by so so quickly it's good to just take a small amount of time away from everyone to just breathe, have a glass of champagne (or some fruit and nut mix, whatever works 😂) and just soak up the love and atmosphere. You will have an incredible day and your online family are really looking forward to sharing the journey with you both into the next chapter as husband and wife x 🥰

So my now husband and I also did a destination wedding in our fave spot to visit to just relax. 100% recommend it; was so special to us and totally put me in a relaxed head space which is exactly what we wanted. We did two cabins one for the ladies and one for the men for the nights leading up and it gave us tons of room to get ready, chill and take photos. Also my vote would be to have it all in one spot makes everyone’s life so much easier. I was one of the last girls in my friend group to get married so I had the benefit of being in weddings where everything was in one spot and then where things are in different spots. And the flow is soooo much better in my opinion with everything in one spot. You don’t have to worry about transportation or getting people from one place to the next; so you get more time actually enjoying the day! Biggest tip I got from my fellow brides that I like to pass along is after the ceremony you and your guy go off with your photographer/videographer and just spend time the two of you soaking in the fact that you are now husband and wife!!!! Because the rest of the day will be consumed with everyone else which is great but it’s nice to take that 30ish minutes or so just to be like oh wow we just did this huge thing! Most of all enjoy the process it goes soo fast!

We had an Australian beach wedding and it was honestly the most amazing experience!! We got married at Burleigh Heads and used a company called Hitched in Paradise who literally organised EVERYTHING. They completely took the stress out of planning a wedding!! We had originally been planning a traditional English wedding at a big venue with loads of people, but you pay so much money for that and don't end up enjoying the day yourselves because you are trying to please other people! So we decided to head to Oz to our favourite beach and have a wedding just me, my husband and my Mum. I regret nothing, the most wonderful day all about us which is how it should be. 🤍

I got married last year and we decided to get married at a lakeside golf course. The bridesmaids and groomsman got ready on separate floors in the hotel, and the girl’s also got their makeup done in the spa of the hotel. We were married in the gardens (also on site), took pictures with the family and they wandered up to have drinks in the top floor of the hotel on site while we had our photos taken on the course. We had our reception in a conference room like you have pictured and designed it how we wanted. All our guests that were travelling stayed at the hotel and it was so amazing to not have to worry about any of them getting lost to the reception or ensuring they getting back to their own hotel if they had a bit to drink! All our guests commented on how amazing and relaxing it was to stay there particularly as we had quite a few kids. The next morning we also had breakfast with those staying at the hotel which was really nice ;) I strongly recommend to have everything in one location :)

I haven’t even watched the video yet but here’s my two cents about your wedding: DO EVERYTHING YOU WANT AND DON’T SETTLE...everyone talked about how laid back and easy I was as a bride but I was just a plain old pushover. I didn’t love my dress, I just got it because it wasn’t that expensive. I didn’t love the food, but my in laws wanted it. I was told that if I didn’t have certain people in my bridal party that the family would be so hurt so my bridal party wasn’t even full of people close to me. I can’t even look back on pictures now without thinking I looked ugly in the dress and wishing I would have done everything different 😞

The best wedding advice someone gave me is "remember your mum". Remember to ask your photographer to take a photo of just you and your mum/Kurt with his mum. Dad's often play a big role in weddings - walking the bride down the isle, speeches etc and there's often ample opportunity for your photographer to get candid shots of you and your dad. Mum's are often out of shot helping with all the little details - so try to remember to organise to get that mum moment in too.

Sezzy, you and Kurt light up when you talk about Elements. Being newly married mu husband and I choose a beach location as well and had the reception in the same place. It was like a beach clubhouse. The perks are your guest show up and do not need to shuffle around to different locations, when the vendors are there setting up (flowers, food, DJ, photographer) you can have a designated person going to check that everything is OK and they are not 20 mins away. Lastly, I think you make a great point with the babies being able to nap. But truly you light up about elements I think you would look back at it and have just the best memories and no regrets.💕 oh also on your thumbnails that boho looking style is gorgeous and sooooooo you!! Love it!

I'm so excited for the wedding series. I got engaged in 2018 and our wedding was May 2020 but it obviously went completely different to how we originally planned due to Covid. But I wouldn't have it any other way. I absolutely loved our day. Even though we didn't have our family or friends there (we did live stream it), it was perfect. You will know when you will find your dress! I was open to try anything on cause you just don't know how it will it fit. I ended up not wearing my actual wedding dress and I ended up buying a backup dress from Boohoo for $30 which turned out so well! We are planning on getting photos done with our original wedding attire once Covid dies down. Your wedding vision will turn out and it will be amazing.

As a fellow AA cup gal, Sezzy spoke right to my heart about being small chested (including the praying part!😂) It took a long time for me to accept my body and be comfortable with how other people see it as well! You just have to find you a man who loves and respects you, for you! My husband always jokes "If it's more than a handful, than it's a waste"💕😂 Loving the strong girl empowerment from Sezzy for all body types! PS Not sure if this is something you considered Sezzy, (or if its even possible) but have you ever thought about using your mum's wedding dress and updating it to current times? I did that this past winter for my wedding and it added so much more sentimental attachment than I ever could've imagined! Of course I had to ditch the puffy 80's sleeves and make a few tweaks here and there, but ultimately it was still the same dress just a little more modernized! Just a thought to consider! 😊 Much love from Canada! 💕🍁

There's nothing worse than sweating buckets under your dress or having it all of a sudden pour down or the wind go crazy and nobody can hear what's being said or their dresses fly up. I got super sunburnt at my wedding and so did a bunch of my guests so in the unedited photos everybody is a tomato 😂 at my mums wedding a bunch of cockatoos where in the trees and they screeched so friggen loud the whole time.

So true, my wedding was outdoors and it was sprinkling all day. Luckily though it didnt really open up until all the “important” reception things had happened, like first dance, cake cutting all that good stuff 💕 although the gloomy weather made for wonderful photo lighting 😂

The family moment where you guys were dancing to the book was literally the best! Do option 1. Yall seemed way more excited about it. Practical and easy can be a blessing! It'll be fantastic regardless🥰

Seriously love your little family!!! #goals But for your wedding the most important thing is to just enjoy and cherish the day as much as you can. Don’t worry about the things that go wrong or aren’t “perfect”. Be as present as possible and you’ll enjoy the little things you didn’t even plan for. I imagine Sarah in an A-line with plunging neck line and like a lace-ish, accented skirt and train, with shimmery/glitter...I don’t know what I’m trying to explain 😛

In NSW we are only getting maybe 15 cases a day. We’re not required to wear masks and allowed to still travel with caution

Sezzy the production value of your videos is insane!!! I remember back to your first videos and compare them to now and you seriously have come so far. NGL though I loved your production value back in the beginning! Also, I love it when you incorporate iPhone footage here and there cause it's just so much more raw and real. You just rock girl! Keep killing it! So happy you finally are starting to plan your big day!

Your first option is the most practical but also would be the most smooth. Going to weddings that are all in one place and you can transition beautifully from the ceremony to the reception is such a fantastic idea. And in all honesty we can see from just how comfortable you feel at the resort but also so happy, it would make the best place for you to enjoy your wedding with family and friends.
