Planning out Bell-housing Chop and Weld

If there is a will, there is a way. I see it as a learning curve and fun at the same time. Especially if I pull it off, I can go down in the record books as a sloppy mechanic! lol. I have neglected KZbin but more importantly neglected you. My bad. Thanks for keeping me motivated.

When you weld the pieces, are they gonna have to be beveled for penetration ?

Just like I said to Subaru, thanks for the following and keeping me motivated. As for the weld, yes, I will prep them for welding. Where this is a lap joint or a 90* angle, I will clean up only. For butt joints, a 45* bevel is recommended to fill and join. I plan on welding both sides for a stronger weld. Even maybe add a strip on on top of the weld to hold together. Not too sure but the bell-housing is thick so weld both sides should be sufficient.
