Thank you for the planning info. I look forward to your actual walking blog. We’re planning to do same in 2025. Boone chemin.

Thank you for taking the time to share your planning. Have subscribed and looking forward to watching your vlogs. I can recommend Duolingo to learn some basic French and pronunciation before you hit the chemin in a few days time to help you to be understood. Don’t worry though you can always use google translate if you get stuck! Bon chemin! 🙏 👋 ❤️ 🇫🇷 🥾

This year we will only have a 3 week window to walk a Camino. We think we would really like to wait to do the whole Frances Camino when we have time but I also liked learning that you and your sister skipped some of the route to make up for time constraints. That being said, would you recommend doing the Frances trail through Spain first or start at Le Puy and walk for a few weeks there and do the Frances when we have more time next year? I think my husband and I are going to love walking Camino but I am trying to set us up for success on the first one ;)

That’s a tough call. If I was to do it again, I would start in St Jean and walk as far as I could in the time frame I had then return another time and walk the rest. But….if this is your first Camino and you want to get your compostella, then I would consider walking one week from Saint Jean, and then taking a bus or train to sarria and walking the last hundred kilometers in to Santiago.

That is a tough question to answer! How about walk the Chemin du Puy from Le Puy to Conques then take a bus to Saria and walk the last 100km of the Camino Francis ending in Santiago. You can then get your compostella.
