Dean, i love your videos. I follow you on both channels and I'm contemplating subscribing to one of your Udemy courses! Big fan. I'm struggling with transitioning from a hybrid environment with On-Prem AD, Azure AD Connect, Entra ID, and Intune to a fully cloud environment. Our plan is to abandon On-Prem AD entirely, with Entra ID and Intune managing users, groups, and devices. When I remove a device from the domain, only the local admin account remains. I found that by signing into the local account after removal, I could then sign into the work or school account and join the device to Microsoft Entra ID, allowing me to sign in with any user account. However, I want to avoid manually removing each computer from the domain and signing into the local account to then sign into the work or school account and join the device to Entra ID. Is there a streamlined process to facilitate this transition? I hope that made sense. Cheers!

The confusion for me is how exactly is personal device “managed” by intune?

I'm researching/reviewing these types of videos myself as well so take my comment with a grain of salt, but what I understand is that personal devices are managed via Mobile App Manaegment (MAM) as opposed to Mobile Device Management (MDM), so while the whole OS is not controlled you can still retain policies and settings on an application level that are deployed from your tenant.

Out of interest. How do you spin up these AAD Test tenants? Microsoft stopped my dev tenant even though it was extremely active.

This one is actually a Developer tenant, which I have access to as a Visual Studio Enterprise subscriber.
