Organizing my Washi Tape Collection // Washi Tape Storage Solution

I have 4 of these units. Back before stickers became popular, I used Washi all the time. With the exception of 2 rolls, all of them still work just fine. I had one divider left over and it houses my Sakura Micron pens and Sakura white jelly roll pens. I keep them in here because they work best if stored horizontally. They look beautiful on my desk. But the great thing is, I can move them to my big book case unit if I need to and just pull out the necessary drawers for individual projects. I highly recommend that viewers get these if they need a Washi storage solution, or a storage solution for any of their art pens. TFS!

I have those. They stack real nice. The very top drawer is were I keep my tape whiteout blades etc.

I got this from Michaels yesterday and organized mine. I don’t have much washi. I have a few boxes of HP roll stickers so I put them in there hoping I’ll use them more. Bumble was cute in the background. 🐾

I really do love that drawer unit way more than the one I have. I love the little slide grips on the bottom! I want to part and upgrade to yours, but four of mine fit perfectly in my cube shelf, so I'm hesitant. lol About three weeks ago I literally trashed about 100 rolls of Washi I knew I'd never use and while I was sad to do it, I knew I'd never use it. I did what you did though, I made a promise that if it didn't fit in one of the 4 units I have (which is probably equal to two of what you have) I wasn't keeping it. I have lots of room now, so I can't complain but I really only use skinny and just a few thicker rolls. It looks SO nice in your box.

I love these bins I only order one and thought if all my washi doesn’t fit then I will order another one. But surprisingly this holds a lot of washi.

That’s a lot of washi 😳 I have seen these organizers and wanted to get them in order to expand my washi collection. Currently what I use is a container I got at either Michael’s or Jo-Ann’s that has a deep lower portion and a tray at the top. The tray has some compartments and that’s where I keep them. I have maybe 20-30 rolls of washi because there isn’t much space in the tray. I’m moving to NM this summer and gaining more office space and I see some more washi in my future 🤗 I like these trays a lot, thank you for being the guinea pig and trying them out for us to see! :)

Great organization. I four of these drawer organizers that was really made for sunglasses storage. They work perfectly. The only problem I encounter is the super wide washi. Don't fit, so I have them in a pouch until I come up with some other plan. Thanks so much for sharing. 💖

I just ordered 3 of the acrylic ones from Michael’s. They came in 3 days, so they are shipping. I missed you saying not to go overboard with buying washi. And so when I combined all my new washi with the ton I bought for bullet journaling, I have an unmanageable amount. Filled up the 3 quickly and have two large plastic tubs full. I think I’m going to give my collection a serious look and discard a bunch that won’t fit in the acrylic.

I've been eyeing those drawer systems for a while now, but since I'm always on a budget I haven't gotten them. I keep my washi under control for the same reason. LoL I only buy what I know I'll use, but I'm planning on expanding soon {Mother's Day is coming!}. I'd love to shop your collection, you have some washi that I've never seen in stores.

I just ordered 3 for my all washi tapes! I used your link! :) I hope to transfer all of my washi tapes from the big bulky Michael’s containers to these, so they take up less space on my craft table AND I can see all the rolls! That’s 2 things I didn’t like about the washi holders I have from Michael’s. PS. If you are ever willing to de-stash your extras, I’d be interested in buying them! You’ve got some unique rolls I haven’t seen before! ♥️

You should definitely figure out your planning style before investing in stickers or washi. In the beginning I bought more sticker books than washi and ended up using washi more cause you can do sooo much for it. I would rather have more washi than sticker books but everyone is different. Definitely find your style and then invest in what you need!

I have the one from Michael's. I do like it, but the case is So large that I have trouble keeping it really handy. I'm looking at yours and thinking that I like yours much better. But I AM very guilty of always thinking the grass is greener on the other side. Haha! I had started out organizing them by theme...Now, they just aren't organized. I think I should go back and organize by color, size, and just by my favorites. And you've inspired me to get rid of some....because if I can't fit it all into that gigantic container, I've got too many! (I heard your advice to resist the desire to buy it all!)

@@JustScribble Thanks for the information. I don't know if mine is from Recollections or not...it doesn't have drawers, but does have lift-out trays...and is not really a sit a-top your desk model. But it is advertised for washi. I'm not about to go buy another just yet...I know IT isn't the problem right now ... it's the way I have the tape organized...or DISorganized. Haha! Again, I Truly do appreciate the information...because otherwise I certainly would have been disappointed when this new one arrived!

Greetings from lockdown in New Zealand. I stumbled across your channel and was SOOOOOO IMPRESSED with the amount of washi tape you have and what lovely designs they are. How long has it taken you to get that much? I love the drawer set you purchased. I've just started journalling and collecting stickers and washi to decorate my notebook pages. I have six washi tapes so far. You are lucky that tapes are so easy to buy where you are. There is not much available here. I look forward to watching more of your videos.

Loved this! Do you (or anyone) have any advice that will help with stickers? I am relatively new to planning but have loads of sticker books. I do get tired of looking for the one with the "Day Off" sticker that I saw when i didn't want it, or the ones with the smiley faces, or habit trackers, or fill-in-the-blank. I don't have a lot of washi because I listened to you when I first started planning and I didn't go crazy buying it. Now pens, on the other hand ... OMG, my pens/pencils/markers/highlighters take up an unreal amount of real estate on my desk. I have 9 mason jars full of them, corralled in a pretty wire basket, but I was looking at this case and thinking I could move them all into one of those. I just wonder if having to open a drawer to get a pen would annoy me since I am constantly plucking pens out of the jars. Is YT messing up because I don't see ANYTHING in the description of the video, not even your normal links. Is it just me?
