Plans change... Moving a fruit tree

I moved my rhubarb when I moved into this new place and it came back tiny the next year and never came back. whoops lol

I've heard some people have finicky rhubarb! Did you plant it in rich soil? My mom inherited rhubarb at her new place, planted in absolutely nutrient-devoid soil, and despite probably being a decade old, was soooo small and sickly looking.
