Make the Code say that 50% of the unit must be of Low Income housing In other words Rental with a rent under $2/sq ft.

If Hawai’i would consider ammending residential code and allow single family homes to convert easily as multi family or boarding houses with $800/ month rooms for rent.

With the high rise buildings and condos in Honolulu now, it will look just like SF or LA in a few years. No longer paradise. Yeech!

When One Archer Lane was built. That’s when it started. Kakaako, Ala Moana building are too tall. It blocks the scenery of sunsets and fireworks. Can’t afford the affordable housing.
