Hoping you can tell me why my Doublefile Mariessii has never blossomed. I bought two which were well marked as to variety; they have never been pruned in the three years I have had them, and have never shown any hardship from cold winters (even the polar vortex we had here in South WI two years ago). It has the distinctive lateral pattern of growth, no watersprouting, with the same viburnum dentated type of leaves as you show. Any ideas?

Hi David, I would be pretty hard to diagnose your viburnum from here. I recommend contacting your local university extension or community college horticulture department. Ag and Hort Extension offices have good advice, and many college hort students are happy to work on such problems.
