I've been vegan for 44 years and at age 71 I'm in great shape and still do climb mountains. I eat the food you are recommending and can attest to the fact that it works. I went on many mountain backpacks this past summer with a 27 year old and he will confirm that I stay right with him. He is vegan too.

I don't smoke (quit in 2012), I don't drink (never have been a fan), and I love my fruits and veggies. I also drink pretty much nothing but water, tea, occasional juice or coffee. I just gotta work on the exercise part. I have hives and chronic pain a lot, so it's not always easy to be motivated to move. It's something I'm working on though, be it slowly lol. I've come a long way from where I was. Been vegan for a year now and feel amazing. I will never go back to the horrendous and unhealthy way I was eating before. I tell everyone I know about Game Changers, Forks Over Knives, What the Health, and a few other vegan docs as well. My husband is the only other vegan I know, but we keep each other going. We're both so much healthier and happier vegan

i hear foods high in salicylates could cause issues with hives, you could try eliminating those foods from your diet for a few weeks and see if it improves.

Hi Ashley... I don't know if you have heard of 'Anthony William' who is The Medical Medium.. I was literally just listening to him yesterday. He was answering a question from someone suffering from chronic hives. He recommended a 'mono diet' for at least a month to clear out your liver. As the liver is throwing off toxins, pathogens etc.. and this is landing in the skin and causing your hives. It is hell.. I know as I have suffered from this too. Drink Celery juice in the morning like he suggests, eat things like just paypaya.. then perhaps the liver cleanse smoothie and steamed potato. It is actually really nice. Check out his book "Cleanse to Heal" and follow the protocol.. you will get better :)

What the Health changed my life. March 2020, sitting one day watching Netflex, in my house in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia saw the film poster, watched it, watched it again, my life changed. now I am VEGAN, reaching my 60's, after converting to VEGAN I have decided to live till I reach 100 years. Really great breakdown. Hard to argue with it! The Nike video is amazing! Leave your old self behind. It's really the fear of letting go that holds ppl back especially when they don't see immediate results. But as the Dr. says, like in The Biggest Loser, rapid weight loss is so bad, slows metabolism, will gain weight back easily and muscle loss.

I wish I had known all of this well before I went from 280 lbs to 148 lbs. I actually felt full and content when losing my weight, eating what I was eating for the most part; but it was by no means healthy, and I'm guessing my metabolism is now permanently doomed because of it. I have maintained my weight and even can lose more if I try to, but I'm always just so damn hungry nowadays. I also am not so sure the weight would be maintained if I stopped exercising often.

NEW IDEA on my The Green TREE group on facebook, for healing...using Sea Salt rubs with any Org. GREENS, includ. Organic Dandelion leaves (good for Liver "bitter" greens), Org. Kale, Org. Spinach, etc. Just sea salt to taste, pat dry, add 1 tsp. Olive Oil & practically HEAL yourselves> Cancer + Diabetes, Viruses CANNOT survive. NEVER, EVER, NEED MEAT to SURVIVE. Told that crazy Raw Meat Eater Vegetable Police, who used to be a Vegan...just now > on his latest video... HA HA HA HA. Once we metabolize the Greens, NO NEED for much of the other Supplements as it is a Prebiotic and/or Probiotic w/ Sea salt rubs...the Healing Chlorophyll is given in Revelation 22:2 as "the Leaves of the TREE (of Life) shall be for the healing of the Nations"...thus the Original Plant-based diet of Genesis 1:29--31, also suggested in Isaiah 11th chapter, Isa. 65:25 & summarized in REVELATION 22:2 "the Leaves of the TREE (of Life) shall be for the healing of the nations"...thus the Original VEGAN Plant-based diet. MAKE sure you only use Organic or Non-GMO foodstuffs (in AMERICA)... With this approach...you will be able to stomach RAW and/or gently cooked Organic Onions, Garlic, Organic Leeks, Org. Scallions, Org. Shallots, all the Allium foodstuffs.

i'm not sure what you've been eating, but i would recommend trying to cut out snacks when you can. i would also watch fruit and grains as that's where the carbohydrates will really add up. filling up on fibrous vegetables can help with hunger. hopefully you are also avoiding processed foods as they generally contain added ingredients like sugar and seed oils that will definitely sabotage any weight loss

Eat NO added oils/fats. Use 1/2 plate non-starchy veggies, 1/4 plate beans, 1/4 plate boiled potatoes or rice. Add 1 cup vegetable soup to the meal.

Buena suerte. 🤗💐

I love Plant Based News and your videos - thank you. It's great that you've added the time stamp topics below in the description but you can add them in such a way that they will appear as chapter marks on your KZbin video. First off, start with 00:00 Plant-Based Nutrition Basics. The first timeline always has to start at 00:00. Also, all the other chapter titles should have two digits for minutes and two digits for seconds. Each chapter title must also be at least 10 seconds long. Here's a short tutorial: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fICwiJp8odKiY5o

Eggs and bacon as well steaks and blue cheese are excellent foods. Real, nutritious and easily digestible. And, they will keep you satisfied for many hours because they contain plenty of fat although the volume is small.

@Joe Legault It came up in my suggested videos for some reason, so I decided to listen to what he had to say and he started out by mentioning these perfect foods, which are some of my favorite foods.

That's the whole point of the video explaining that those high fat foods you just mentioned requires you to eat much more to feel full which causes weight gain, heart problems, diabetes, cholesterol, and the list goes on. So those are not really "excellent foods"
@LisaCulton
@LisaCulton 4 жыл бұрын
@@essdee980 Actually, because those foods are high in fat as well as vitamins and minerals, the feeling of satiety comes on before the stomach is full or stretched and one does not need to eat a lot (large volumes) to feel "full". If a person is eating low calorie / low fat foods, a large volume will be required to stretch the stomach to send a signal to stop eating. That's why people on low fat diets have to eat and snack throughout the day. On the other hand, I eat only twice a day.

Bacon is full of bad fats and is a processed meat, i.e linked with higher cancer risks
@LisaCulton
@LisaCulton 4 жыл бұрын
@@martinjeanneteau7950 As Long as it's real fat, it's good fat. Fat is not linked to higher Cancer Risk but *being* fat is - i.e. high BMI. If you have excess fat on your Body, it acts as an endocrine organ, disrupting all sorts of metabolic processes and causing Inflammation, among other Things.

Thank you for this excellent video. I've been a vegan for 38 years, just over half my life. say to new vegans: Eat PROPERLY and don't live on bought ready animal-free meals As long as you have beans, nuts, loads of green veggies, lentils, tofu, seeds and not binge on vegan sausage rolls etc you should do well.....I certainly have. And on line there are so many people, sites and vegan recipes that will go to prove you are not alone. Oh yes and I am a great fan of 'butters' - pumpkin, sunflower seeds and many others. Go to an independent 'Health Shop' and hopefully there will be an array of them. And the vegan milks are great too......dairy from my point of view is the cruelest of industries. Truly truly nasty.

It seems Dr. Davis does not know what is the difference between the ketogennic diet and the heavy protein high carbohydrate diet. That is quite sad actually. I am on the ketogennic diet and have been for the past 2 years. I am lean. No problems with weight gaining whatsoever.
