no they dont. why do you think so? i mean, the breeders just add some gene (by hybridization/gen engineering) that code some protein/substances that made the plant resistance to a disease. unless they also add some weird gene that add much more cellulose to the plant which make it can't be digested since human doesn't have cellulase
