All of this rang true. Who has not been guilty of bringing a plant home for its beauty and treating it as an object, rather than something living?! Thanks.

Hi Amy. This video made me think about how long I’ve been growing houseplants and what I’ve learned in that time. I’m 76 and am still learning. Growing methods have changed, especially since we have so much information out there on the internet. When starting out I bought a plant, took it home, put it in place where it looked nice, watered it when I remembered, no fertiliser, pest treatment etc etc. They usually survived for a good enough amount of time then turned up their toes and died. I feel ashamed to think I treated plants that way and have certainty changed my view. Thanks for another thought provoking video Amy.

I wonder if you have a wish list of plants you could share? 🤔 I'm always interested (nosy lol) in what peoples lists are

I also started collecting house plants during the beginning of 2020.

@@amyadwan I did at the very beginning of the year... I was bored one day and was obsessed with ferns after watching jurassic park . I had watched lots of fern care videos and so I decided to get three ferns. A birds nest , a hay scented fern and a button fern. two out of three I still have and I've never looked back. 🥰
