The vintage planters are amazing! I can tell you have collected them for a while. I remember African violets in both grandmothers homes, but no other other plants. I wonder when indoor plants became popular. I bet the 60's? But you are right succulents are perfect!!!!

I love the old jadite planters from depression years!

Hi, Tamra!!!! Those are all planters that were collected on my thrifting adventures this year. Maybe some from last year too. I think I've shared every one of them in a thrifting video previously :). I'm thinking the 60s as well. Definitely in full swing in the 70s. I'm sure plants like spider plants and african violets (to name a couple) have been around forever. Oh....ferns were HUGE in the victorian era. Just remembered that. So I'd say indoor plants have been popular for forever LOL.

I loved this video and so did Jen. Those Planters are just adorable, I believe my grandmother had the two birds. Nice choice of succulents to go in them you chose a great place for them and I love the crystals. At first I thought green adventuring and then maybe green agate. I have no idea but it is lovely😊😊😊

Hi!!! I'm so glad you two enjoyed the video. I love your guesses on the stone. I've been trying to learn more about all of mine (and some I don't have YET LOL) and will compare those two names to what I have. I'm really enjoying learning about them again :). I hope you guys are having a lovely Sunday :). Thank you!!!!

Love these planters so much! I think you're so brave for doing no drainage with succs for some reason. I just put a homealomena in no drainage with no issue. But for some reason the succs really scares me in no drainage. I think part of it is that your no drainage is not clear so your blind and just guestimating. I definitely have over watering tendencies. I so want to do this like you did, but I am not sure I've got the confidence 🤪....... but you did a WONDERFUL JOB! 🥰🐦🐈🐖
@ThePinkTrellisАй бұрын
Thanks Aubrey! I haven't failed with one yet!!!! (keeping my fingers crossed LOL). It really does take a light hand with watering and an observant eye. You can't just forget about them, but at the same time don't pay too much attention to them LOL. And the nice thing is, if you accidentally get too much water in there, you can just tip the pot as I showed in the video :). You should give it a try with a succulent that you aren't too attached to. See how it goes for a year with that one (maybe even less time depending on the outcome). It really is super easy with succulents and cacti in my experience.

Hi Gena, your green crystal looks like Green Calcite. Fluorite is denser. Thank you for your tip on caring etc. for no drainage plants.

Those planters are so cute. I have three little deer planters on my kitchen counter. I put the small pots with the baby plants into them. The light green might be Celadon.
@ThePinkTrellisАй бұрын
Thanks, Chris! I bet the deer planters look adorable! I'll look into celadon. Thanks for the possible ID :). Have a great Sunday!!!
