Honestly, other than not being kid’s drawing proof, white hides dust better than dark colors. And oxiclean/bleach works easily on white fabric, it might not be nearly as big of a nightmare as you think.

Ant colonies often have designated spots where they put all the dead ants, so that might be why there were so many in one spot. It is often not too far from the colony though

That Brazil def looks like a cream splash 💦 I only ever chop to prop to fill out the mother plants, or as an experiment, if I trim a common plant like pothos or Brazil etc I just compost them, I dont have room for many I LOVE our foam mattress, not helix but Douglas in Canada, I’ll never go back to a spring mattress!!! Hey don’t forget about root pruning if you don’t wanna upsize your pots too much! ❤ edit: then you did it! Lol

A couple months ago I suddenly have a lot of ants from my balcony and wasn't aware it all came out from ONE plant (a Beaucarnea), and later i learnt that it had SCALE infestation. The plant seller told that ants generally indicates infestation of a sap feeding insect. I immediately quarantined it, tried soap water, different insecticides, nothing is working, the scale and ants keep coming back. I ended up throwing that beaucarnea away to save my other 30+ plants. 😂😂 Fortunately my other plants are doing very fine. Considering that group of ants are dead in your greenhouse I think your plants should still be alright though.

I wouldn’t say that’s normal for any plant. Although Alocasias do tend to lose a leaf when a new one is coming in.
